TO Forced to Apologize to Eagles & Teammates...*merge*

This situation should become more and more enjoyable to watch as it becomes more and more obvious that Philly's season is going down the drain. Can you imagine what this guy is going to be like if Philly get eliminated from a playof spots before the season ends? In that scenario the best philly could hope for would be to see TO's injury suddenly "flare up" so he couldnt play for them again. Anything else will be spectacular to see for we Philly haters.

He let himelf got suckered into answering a mediot asking him if his buddy Mike Irvin was right when he said the Eagles would be winning more with Favre.

The funniest thing about the whole latest flack is that it was Irvin got the ball rolling.

I hope ESPN knows a big raise is in order. Half the sports programming these days is working off Irvin generated nonsense.

The best part is that TO is too stupid to say "no way - Don is our man. He's playing his heart out" or some stuff like that. Any of you see Bull Durham? That scene where Costner takes Robbins aside and teaches him cliches to use during interview -- man, TO could use some of that sort of guidance.

My guess is he's rejected that sort of guidance since grade school.

Cliches don't get ya the kind of attention TO craves. ;)

Did anyone listen to Jim Rome ripping on TO this morning. It was freaking hilarious. He was making fun of the fact that TO tries to justify his comments by saying he was just "being honest." Rome was arguing there is a time and place to say what is on your mind. Then he stated "If your wife asks if you she looks fat, you aren't going to reply: "Yes honey, you look fat in those jeans....just being honest." :laugh2:

PT...this has got to frustrate you as a fan......

I for one...want the best Philly team on the field and beat them that way...that's just the way I am. When we face you guys in a week and a half...who knows how McNabb will be...will TO be playing...or better yet on the team??? Sucks for you.

Don't get me wrong hate the Iggles...and always will :D , but I do want them to put the best team on the field, so there are not excuses as we take the NFC back....

Appreciate your gesture. And it's true, we've had our share of internal problems this Year, but hopefully there's still time to pull this all together and come out fighting for a playoff birth.

Wow... Along comes a bye week and we're at eachother's throats concerning a horrible personality that doesn't even play on our team!!!

Damn these bye weeks. ;)

First of all, I didn't say "everyone else was doing it" read it again if your'e capable.

Everyone else was doing it, half the team did the same thing, whatever. Half the country drives over the speed limit, so why shouldn't you? It's okay to drink and drive because everyone else does. You understood what I meant.

You understood what I meant too. Yet you exhaggerated your point to try and prove something (you failed miserably).

My point still stands.

If he was playing for the Patriots do you think they would stop the game, set off fireworks to honor the accomplishments of the great one?

They would not even have him on their team at all, much less kiss his butt. TO is all about himself and nobody else, he is not a team player.
TO may find another team to play for but he has definatly lowered his value in the league. Nobody will pay top dollar knowing he is a CANCER and may hold out at any time for no particular reason. Curly

Have you ever heard of the expressing ...not wishing something on your worse enemy? This scenario could have been any given team; in any given season.

It's unfortunate that something like this happens on any team -- especially the Eagles (IMO).

I really think that this situation is far different than most. I'ts not very often that you have one of your star players belittling another star teamate publicly. If I was an Eagles fan I'd flat out hate T.O. by now and wishing that we had traded him for someone decent. He has single handedly broken down the teams chemistry. This will not go away until he does.

I've heard of this expression that you speak of, but I gotta admit, this entire TO scenario is rather funny, and I just have to laugh it up a bit.

Dallas was the butt end of all of the jokes in the mid to late 1990's, given all that happened, so I think it is our turn for a few laughs on the Eagles behalf.

This TO/Eagles situation is very funny. BOTH sides knew what they were getting into when he came to the team last year. TO would get a "lousy" contract that made him work for a mere $49 million over 7 years (blasphemy), and the Eagles would get a cancer on their team.

Yet both jumped in head first into this deal, and are now paying the price. I think it is rather funny, so I can't help but laugh.

I distinctly remember several Philly fans lauding his acquisition as the greatest triumph of that off season. I distinctly remember saying it was going to blow up in their faces and being told that Andy Reid can handle TO.

How do you like me now?

Me too. It's just bad for football.

LTN probably said it best about the correlation between TO and Irvin.

TO, IMO, isn't a team guy and he plays a team sport.

Irving was a team guy. Hard to deny that. But Irvin caused some serious team troubles. Two things kept him from single-handedly destroying the Boys. One: Aikman's unwavering support. Two: His undeniable charisma.

But I truly wanted Irvin gone. Not because he tore the team apart, but because I watch the Cowboys with my son. How do I explain to someone under 10 what rape is? What cocaine is? What hookers are? I didn't want any of that to be a part of the fellowship I shared with my kid. Still don't.

Both guys have character flaws. They are COMPLETELY different flaws, but major flaws.

Give me guys like Johnston, Aikman, Lilly etc... Guys I can root for with my kid. Guys that don't have my kid asking questions about the darker side of human behavior when we watch ESPN or the news.

Just my 2 cents in a bucket full of pennies.

ESPN just flashed on the screen that he's suspended indefinitely for conduct detrimental to the team.

I didn't exaggerate anything.
