I understand those stats are out there and those players numbers did go up when they left NE. Number of dropped passes by former NE also was up, from what I read.

Too many variables to give an honest assessment IMO.

Don't have time to look it up, right now, but I think I read that on http://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/ .

It is an interesting correlational analysis.

But you would have to provide some additional support here - yes, the Pats fumble rate is unusually low. Is that due to deflated footballs? Is it due to having a coach who won't tolerate fumbles? Some combination of factors? We don't know

I'd think a complimentary study would examine whether fumbles are more common earlier in games rather than later. Balls lose air during the game so fumbles (and picks) should be decreased as you move on.

As someone who thinks critically, I can't accept a single analysis as proof.

Wasn't enough as far as I'm concerned. There's no telling how long they were doing this, but every fumble study of players before, during and after their NE times and their Fumbles per play leads me to think a long time. To me it would be similar to a basketball game where one team has an 18" hoop and the other has a 20" hoop. It was blatant and definitely had an affect on games or they wouldn't have done it. They artificially altered the playing field in their favor. 4 games wasn't enough and Belichek shouldn't have got off unscathed.

yup.......for all the people who continue to preach that deflated balls had little impact.....then Why did the Pats do it in the 1st place? o_O

Cheaters cheat.....and eventually get caught:hammer:

Brady flat out refused to hand over all texts and emails. How can he turn around and argue his suspenion if he wouldn't comply. If he had nothing to hide he would have turned them over.

Hardy was sued by the NFL to turn over documents about his court case. However, why was Brady not forced in the same respect of Hardy to make him turnover evidence? Yet Hardy's suspension was more severe.

There is a double standard in the NFL and its so blatantly obvious.

what evidence did they have? "probably" knew something surely cannot be the determining factor. Can it?

Filed to ESPN: Tom Brady suspended four games, Pats lose 1st round pick in 2016 and a 4th in 2017, and team fined $1 million, per source:

Brady 4 game suspension, 1st round pick in 2016, 4th in 2017, 1 million$ fine < guaranteeing you don't lose to an inferior opponent in the rain in the AFC championship and another Super Bowl victory.

Ridiculous goal line call by Seattle gives them another chuck of history.

The draft pick and fine, I expect to hold. Brady's suspension will be the "battleground".

There is just no way I see them keeping him suspended through the Dallas game.

Couldn't a similar argument be made for keeping a high-profile player in Hardy suspended for all of these high profile early games that we have?

It shouldn't be reduced unless Tom and the Patriots fully cooperate this time around.

I hope he appeals and Roger Goodell gives him 8 games, now that would be hilarious.

Did the NFL sue Hardy or the DA?

Did Belicheck have Brady running his deflation ring?
