This early in preseason, nothing is concrete. Teams will have bad games, it happens.

To say the Boys or Skins suck this early in the game is pointless.

but hey - we live for today. what we see now is the only way it can ever be till it changes the next time we see it.

some learn patience. others need "the kill" now.

What a ridiculous thread. As if the first pre-season game for any team could "comfirm" anything. Would you have been as despairing had we lost to the Colts? Doubtful. Hate the Skins all you like, but enough of the Ouija Board predictions.

Agreed-BTW, why hasn't anyone made fun of Indy's pathetic preseason performances recently? If anything, we played a watered down Indy team who was going through their vanilla routine on top of that.

The East is a two team race. This may be the worst Washington team this decade (That is saying something), and the Giants will not pose much of a threat after losing their 2 best players

I happen to agree. Both the Giants and Skins have lame duck coaches. Both coaches have either lost their team or lost the concept of coaching in today's NFL. I feel the Eagles are closer to the Giants and Skins than some are inclined to believe. McNabb will play well for a little while... then... well... you know.... something will happen... he will get hurt or get pulled for Kolb.... yes I believe Andy is bold enough to yank McNabb if he feels he must. Call it a premature Parcell's-Romo move. The Eagles have no WR's, no RB.... defense is hurting. McNabb is.. well... McNabb. He will carry this QB controversy around all the time. The media will start to pour it on.... and I would be suprised if we see MORE articles about the negatives of McNabb and team mates.

Dallas on the other hand comes into the season with the "unfinished business" tag/chip/hunger.... whatever you want to call it.

I think that the offense and defense will sync up faster than first anticipated. This team needed to have some of the restraints taken off. Garret and Wade do just that.

Get ready boys and girls.... remember thatt "killer instinct" and "hunger" we have wanting out of this team..... its BACK!!!

20... 15... even 10 years ago I would agree with you 100%, but this is now and an NFL season hasn't been a certainty for over a decade. Still, for what it's worthy, can we sticky this? :)

Its august 11, I dont think anyone can make any reasonable assumption about any of the nfc east teams yet.
Consider the source of the thread. Aggies assume they're the best team in the nation because they won their spring game.

Two players who looked pretty shaky were Campbell and - surprisingly - Jon Jansen. I wasn't surprised at Campbell, he's still a work in progress, but I was shocked at how bad Jansen looked.

Maybe injuries have caught up with him? He was getting run over, through, and around all night.

They have enough to worry about with Samuels out already.

But then again, it is preseason.....

There is no way you are 47 years old.

Commanders certainly didnt look good. Campbell was shaky but made some great throws, the D was up and down, secondary and LBs played pretty well overall. The OL actually played better than I thought they would without Samuels, but still not good.

People forget that the Titans have a decent defense. Its their offense that sputters more often. Still no excuse for Campbell and the OL for not executing plays.

But to dismiss any team at this point of the year...really ?

I think the Commanders will be around 7-9. Their offense looked bad, but I'd imagine unless Portis is bothered by injuries again, the offense will run around him. The defense should be solid, although I'm not basing this on their performance against Tennessee without Vince Young. Ultimately an averege QB equals an averege team, unless you have superstars everywhere on D (see Chicago Bears).

The Giants will be worse than the Skins imo. The defense will be slightly better with Usi, whatever his name is, healthy. But Their DBs will strugle. Their O-line will struggle with a guard playing LT. The Running game will see a huge dropoff with out Tiki, and the wideouts are just averege. I see 5-11 for them.

I don't want to write the Eagles off, but who knows what McNabb will look like next year? Carson Palmer, or Duante Cullpepper? I think the D is good enough, that McNabb will be able to squeeze out 9-7.

Us on the other hand, I think the only thing that wil hold us back is the running game. I don't think we have a back that we can lean on, but with Romo playing at a pro-bowl level, and the D playing better we should be 11-5.

Hopefully, the Cowboys produce this year. I'm not counting anyone out, considering the longest playoff victory drought in the division belongs to us.

What do you get when you take the 32nd ranked defense from 2006, and take away Pac Man Jones? The 2007 Tennessee Titans! 29th versus the run, 27th versus the pass, where are they not terrible?

I could see the Cowboys being 11-5, however the D isn't playing better until it really counts. Thats not a stretch by any means.
I have no idea where the Commanders will end up. I expect 10 wins, dream of 19, wouldn't be surprised with 7.

My thing with the Giants is say Strahan does retire (which I don't expect, but if he does), Osi will be replacing him leaving them with Kiwi who is a one trick pony and has really been unimpressive thus far. Their LBs are still average overall, their secondary is questionable too.

So I guess Pacman wasnt really that big of an impact to begin with ?

Teams got up on them because of the offense. They ran, ran, and ran some more.

Rankings dont always equate to success, nor many other "football" stats.

Watch the games and it becomes easier.

Is that unreasonable ? 10 ?

It wasn't like I said I expected 13 or so.

10 is solid. Not great, not terrible.

Yeah.

It is unreasonable.

If you think that's a 10 win team you're kidding yourself.
