I think the real debate is that the vast majority of that 10 isn't HOF caliber.

Especially when there are always actual elite players who wait for years, sometimes dying before receiving. Just waiting.....

Why do you continue to disrespect GAYLE NOT GAIL !!
Because that's the way talk to text phonetics does it and I don't usually go back and proofread because right now I'm trying to do six things at once.. Sorry dude but you can head back to Chicago if you want maybe they'll proofread their stuff for you over there you know the team with the least amount of great players ever.. Justin Jefferson right now has more yards and I believe touchdowns then the entire history of receivers that ever went through Chicago just FYI...

The NFL is admittedly entertainment this century, and Tony was entertaining so lets put him in !
I dont care if he won a sb or not, it isnt the SB hall of fame lol.
Tony was the most well known qb in the world, during his playing years.
Flacco won a SB, but few know who he is lol.

Romo is NOT HOF material. He couldn't get the team to a NFC Conference game.

Romo will be in the HOF one day. Maybe not this year or the next, but he’ll get in eventually. Much to chagrin of those who thought he was a “choke artist” or as the irrational reason as to why the Cowboys never made it to the SB during his tenure. The HOF is about the individual player and what he accomplished even despite team failures, although team accomplishments certainly help in terms of QB approval. Winning SBs is an organizational accomplishment not an individual one.

Thats not really fair. Romo was never going to succeed with Garrett as HC and an O-Line that ultimately ended his career. In addition, the era he played in was extremely competitive compared to this weak QB field right now.

You have no clue about Chicago Bears history. Just quit while you are behind. They have had many greats FYI.

Romo, pure Stats wise he blows all those guys out of the water. McFlab and Vick might get in because of the Eagles bias

Not much to choose from. Will this standard be lowered like the rest of the nfl?

lmao...Romo? Are you kidding me? An undrafted player who's only moment was the fumble. Oh hell, no, all he did was sacrifice his body for the hated Dallas Cowboys. Tony will never get the respect he deserves...broken bones, broke back, punctured lung.

Nah...Romo does not belong with the greats. He belongs to us Dallas Cowboys. He will never get respect.

Romo is nowhere near HOF territory. I really appreciated TR in his day. Really good NFL QB. Maybe ROH. But definitely not HOF material. In fact there are several former Cowboys that deserve it way before him. Harvey Martin, Too Tall Jones, Everson Walls to name a few.

To me TR represents an era of underachievement in Dallas Cowboys history. He threw for a lot of yards and had some regular season heroics of note. But 2 WC playoff wins and numerous poor performances when the season was on the line hurt him as an all time great.

Tony Romo to me - was a really good - not great QB. Great QBs make the HOF.

He's good enough to be there, but he came along during the worst of Jerry.

It was even worse than the Campo years because they could've actually went places during the Romo era. The decisions were just horrendous once Parcells left.

I dont agree with him goin in the hall, but tbf to romo unfortunately he was against multiple hof qbs during that era in terms of awards. Imagine being against prime Brees, Big ben, Brady, Rodgers, Stafford, Wilson, Palmer, Vick, P. Manning etc

Have to be elite to stand out among them. I think he was 2nd in mvp voting in 2014 behind Rodgers

Romo enjoyed 13 seasons (2004 through 2016) with the Cowboys, although he didn’t play much until his fourth year and missed most of his last two seasons. In between, though, the Cinderella story of this undrafted talent’s rise to glory rivaled the best real-life fairytales. Though he never led his team to the Super Bowl, Romo owns the highest career passer rating (97.1) of any quarterback who retired without ever making it to the title game.

Romo holds every imaginable Cowboys passing record. He has the most yards at 34,183, the most touchdowns at 248, the highest Adjusted Net Yards per Attempt at 7.03 and also broke the club’s records for fourth-quarter comebacks (24) and game-winning drives (29). The only reason he’s not atop the list is because he has a huge playoff hole on his resume.

His career was cut short by injury just when he was reaching his prime QB years, but the four-time Pro Bowler still achieved a 116 Career AV in 156 games.

Romo ranked No. 10 in our all-time Cowboys’ list of 2019.
