I still stand firmly in Romo's corner and shame on those who don't. His absences was given as the excuse for us losing seven in a row. He is back now. You can't have it both ways. There is an issue with this team and it is not Tony Romo.

Romo didn't throw 3 picks, two pick sixes today?

He did. Trying to do too much and knock off rust against the best defense in the NFL at the same time. I can't really fault him; and now he's done for the year anyway.

I haven't changed my opinion of him. He's still the third best QB this franchise ever had. His time is coming to an end though. I don't know if he'll ever get through a season healthy again.

It's not the coaching that causes the mistakes we see with Romo he was turning the ball over under Parcells.

It is the coaching to some degree. He's a turnover machine in a "pass heavy offense..". Last year he was most efficient in a run first offense so we decided to change it, lol. There was not enough history with Parcells. Got rid of Murray/Callahan, and went back to 65%pass. Idiots in the front office as well, imo.

You can't fault him? Romo is known to crash when trying to do too much. So when does he get the blame?

Bingo. That's it right there. I couldn't believe how we started this game. Pass, pass, pass. It was like a flashback through those 8-8 years.

The only chance he ever had at getting a super bowl was to rely on the run. Like last year. Still that wasn't enough. Defense was crap.

Color me embarrassed and disappointed.

I agree. And the issue isn't Brandon Weeden, either. Weeden put the Cowboys in position to win two of his three starts, but the defense let the team down both times.

I'm not going to put poor decisions made by a QB on the coaching. The mistakes made by Romo today were inexcusable for a veteran QB. There wasn't much of a history with Parcells but Romo's had turnover issues with every head coach he's had.

I'm one of Romo's biggest defenders and think that he gets too much hate sometimes in the past for the team not getting to the Superbowl. But one of the reasons why we lost so badly today is because of Romo. He gave Carolina 17 points off of his picks.

Tony Romo and Don Merideth, 2 Cowboys who never made it to the big show and put their health on the line to get them close..

Its not Jasons Garett's fault Romo didnt see Luke Keuchly, i get it but Jason knows Romo throws alot of picks in a pass heavy scheme, you've said it yourself many times. The smash mouth running offense with Romo passing it 25x a game had him in MVP conversation.

Very true. But the Panthers have made a lot of quarterbacks look bad this year, and Romo gets a pass from me because of his rust. It was obvious last week at Miami, but the Panthers made him pay.

  • Ahhhhhhh....please stop with the Romo excuses! He is what he is...a great QB that is known for blowing it when the game matters most. He choked big time, plain and simple. This isn't the first time and it may or may not be the last. We can blame it on the coaching, or the "best offensive line in football" but the reality is he made those throws. If IIRC, Weeden and Cassel did the same thing and we (myself included) crucified them. I had false hopes. Time to think about the draft.

  • Sorry for being debbie downer but I'm po'd right now, I fully expected us to win, our team was finally healthy again I was expecting a close game at the least. This division sucks, it was ours for the taking and we blew it.
