Tony Romo best Cowboy QB of all time

Its not Jasons Garett's fault Romo didnt see Luke Keuchly, i get it but Jason knows Romo throws alot of picks in a pass heavy scheme, you've said it yourself many times. The smash mouth running offense with Romo passing it 25x a game had him in MVP conversation.

They made the decision not to pay Murray and I said during the offseason it would very likely lead to a less efficient Romo and more int's. The running game wasn't working today and it forced Romo to have to put the ball up and he suffered a meltdown. If you can't run the ball effectively you have to put it up.

Let's see if the OP has the nerve to show up again or takes off like he normally does when one of his threads comes back to bite him in the ace.

We had the right chemistry last year and the FO broke it. They forgot what made the Cowboys great last year and it was the running game.

I agree with this. I would add that they came out throwing heavy, they ran predictably on first down only and they abandoned the running game to early, especially with the Carolina offense I just watched. This game should have been 13-10 dogfight.

The Cowboys had a great thing going last season and they not only didn't build on it but they allowed a key cog that fit the team perfectly to get away because they felt it was more the OL not the back. This forced Romo to have to go back to carrying the team and now with him injured again the Cowboys future is up in the air.

  • Ahhhhhhh....please stop with the Romo excuses! He is what he is...a great QB that is known for blowing it when the game matters most. He choked big time, plain and simple. This isn't the first time and it may or may not be the last. We can blame it on the coaching, or the "best offensive line in football" but the reality is he made those throws. If IIRC, Weeden and Cassel did the same thing and we (myself included) crucified them. I had false hopes. Time to think about the draft.

  • Sorry for being debbie downer but I'm po'd right now, I fully expected us to win, our team was finally healthy again I was expecting a close game at the least. This division sucks, it was ours for the taking and we blew it.

This game was entirely on Romo's pick-6s. There was no coming back from that.

I disagree with your characterization of what Romo is, though. He had a bad game. It happens to him now and then, and it happens to the best of them from time to time. Which is the reason we needed to win a few games during the seven game losing stretch.

Not that it matters anymore, though, with Romo out again.

Whatever the system or game plan is the QB is still required to make good decisions and poor decisions have been an issue with Romo throughout his career. He's a very good QB but when it goes bad with him it can go real bad.

You must be under 30 years old. You HAVE to be.

Anyone that watched Aikman and Staubach play would never utter such nonsense.

Props! As a kid growing up in the 70s, anyone who saw all 3 would be laughed out of town. Really not even close. For my first 26 years of life I expected Super Bowl or bust. Even early to mid 80s with Danny White..under appreciated. Romo is a great QB in the pass happy days of today's league. Carrying a team over the years has been more elusive

He makes very poor decisions when he's trying to do to much, I agree. When he's not he's one of the best in the league.

Why did we blame the 7 in a row on Romo being absent???? You blame him while I blame the offensive scheme and the scheme is truly offensive.

So they need to protect Romo from himself? We all know that's the case, but why should a veteran QB be placed on a rookie's leash?

LOL I knew or was 90% sure Carolina would win this game.
They are a better team with way better coaches.
They knew our standard vanilla offense better than we do lol.
That is why the ints, and how they shut down our offense.

Also a lackadaisical effort by many dallas players.

Tony made some poor decisions, that is on him,and partly partly JG for not offering better pass protection.

Yes it was and they should be called out in film.

Where is old AB, seems to be absent.
