The only good thing about this? I'm going to be super excited for the postseason and the draft forum when such a high pick is likely.

Oh yeah I'm not one of those people thinking his career is over or anything like that. I'm just saying they should have shut him down before anyway. There was such a slim hope of getting to the playoffs. I mean 7 straight games? That's a little much to ask of Romo when your o-line isn't playing up to par, your defense is up and down, and you have no quality running game to help take that pressure off.

And that's to say nothing of the fact that this coaching staff is absolutely abysmal at being creative, at getting people into their strengths, at adjusting, at anything. The OC and HC here are absolutely terrible when it comes to creating mismatches and adjusting. It's truly sad.

I disagree. We pay that guy a fortune. If he gives us a chance to win at all and the season is still on the line, he needs to be out there. Now he is officially done and can come back next year.

I feel bad for Romo. This was his season to put all that choker label behind him and establish himself. Instead, his last impression will be his worst game as a professional. 2 pick sixes on national TV.

I wish Tony well. The blame he is receiving for yesterday is unwarranted. He is not nor has ever been a problem for this team but he has been the solution to mask a lot of problems. When he is not healthy, he doesn't mask the problems as well. I say we should have went to the hurry up offense in the 2nd half as the first time we got the ball. Anytime we have Romo in that offense where the coaches are more just spectators and he is calling the shots we move the ball.

Can't depend on him to win Dallas a superbowl going forward. The search is on for the next guy. IMO any games Tony plays will just be bridging the gap with mediocre play until our next QB is ready. Too old and fragile to be consistently great. It's a bitter pill to swallow bc he's been so good. But the team is not good around him and now his body is failing him. We need a bit of an overhaul of this roster. New blood.

Like I said, not saying it's the right thing. Just that I will be surprised if they go qb in the first round .

A 36 year old Romo next year, and you're surprised if we take one?

Agreed. I believe one will be there for the taking in round one and two.

I agree, assuming you have a top 5 pick...you take the BPA . Second round, top half, usually has some solid options for QB. If you take a QB with the top 5, you are in a dilemma where you feel like you need him to play right away, not so with a second round pick.

I truly don't follow the draft usually till it gets closer, but by early indications, it doesn't seem like there is a QB that is considered a sure thing.

I am looking forward more to get an elite pass rusher or an elite receiver opposite Dez. For better or worse, unless he retires, we need to come to the conclusion that Romo is our QB for the next two seasons. It is time to draft a QB but not reach for one just because we have a high pick.

If we are top 5, I'll take that bet.

Who exactly?

There is no sure thing Andrew Luck prospect pro scouts are drooling over. You take the BPA with a high pick. Some desperate teams reach for quarterbacks early, we are not at the luxury to do that because we have about 30 million dollars guaranteed to pay to Romo over the next two seasons until we can think of playing someone else.

Every game I watch 1-2 Cowboys are injured and we have to go to commercial. There's definitely a problem with the Cowboys strength and conditioning program or we have been cursed by a gypsy. I wonder who Dez bought that monkey from? The tears of a gypsy are hard to neutralize

Paxton Lynch has been getting top 5 rankings and that's why I said rounds one or two. In all honesty I'm more intrigued with Ramsey, Bosa, and Jack than I am a QB.

I hate to be a debbie downer but that will be depressing once you view the entire landscape.

Thank you!

We will be taking a player ranked at 20 in top 5 just because he's a QB. I'll take the player ranked at top 5, regardless of position.
