We deserve this season, our arrogance with not drafting a QB for years has finally caught up to us.

I do feel bad for the guy. It's honestly time to move on. I've been one of his biggest supporters but the injuries are mounting and he's not getting any younger. He was a band aid for much of his career and he will never be truly appreciated for the games he won. Instead the focus will be how he always makes the worst play at the worst possible time. And I guess we'll see what happens in the draft. You never know what Jerry will do. Sometimes good and sometimes very bad

Thank you!

We will be taking a player ranked at 20 in top 5 just because he's a QB. I'll take the player ranked at top 5, regardless of position.

Poor year for talent laden QB's, and TE's. IMO there are some projects but not top 5 in Rd 1.

Paxton Lynch has been getting top 5 rankings and that's why I said rounds one or two. In all honesty I'm more intrigued with Ramsey, Bosa, and Jack than I am a QB.

High second is where you pull the trigger, not a top 5 pick "just because". QB is too much of a gamble and I want a top 5 pick to play right away.

A 36 year old Romo next year, and you're surprised if we take one?

Yes I'll be surprised if the front office takes a qb just like I was surprised that the didn't take a rb this yr and rolled out randle.
I stated what I believe they will be thinking in my first post. . Quality back up for Romo and roll with what we have.
Were I GM and there was a good prospect in the draft I'd pull the trigger.
Fortunately for us all I am not. Just remember jerry loves a bargain and loves to appear smarter than the rest of the league. That is why I will be surprised
Would not be shocked to see them take the best tackle in the draft

One and only reminder .. this thread is about Tony, his injury and the future. Mindless bashing of the front office, coaching staff, etc. should be done in the ton of other threads available on those topics.

Tons or the one official thread?

I feel bad for Romo. This was his season to put all that choker label behind him and establish himself. Instead, his last impression will be his worst game as a professional. 2 pick sixes on national TV.

His career has been star crossed no doubt. Every time he is built up he falls down spectacularly.

I don't think it was his worst game as a professional. Sometimes, QBs have bad games. It happens to all of them.

It looked a lot like last years Thanksgiving game. He just didn't look right. I don't think his body can do the short week at this point.

Who exactly?

There is no sure thing Andrew Luck prospect pro scouts are drooling over. You take the BPA with a high pick. Some desperate teams reach for quarterbacks early, we are not at the luxury to do that because we have about 30 million dollars guaranteed to pay to Romo over the next two seasons until we can think of playing someone else.

Pretty sure qb's can be successful in this league not named Andrew Luck.

I understand all QBs have bad games. Just noting that his lasting impression will be his worst game as a professional.

Is there a worse game than yesterday?

I am sure of it but you need to take a player based on your draft slot that high. In the past, teams reached for a QB just because when there was no clear cut blue chip player and the results are usually disastrous.

Take the best talent in the first, take your QB of the future in the second. Like I previously said, I don't want the team taking a player ranked 20th on their draft board just because he is a QB and turning down a top ranked defensive player on receiver.

Look at this draft like the 2014 draft. No sure thing QB, Jags took Bortles in the first who could be a fine QB but the raiders were smarter taking the BPA and turning around and snatching Carr in the second.

I said it before , once we lost 7 straight, the best thing to do was shut Romo and Dez down, let Gregory heal completely and get all the young players as much experience as possible. It was evident by the fact that we couldn't win a single game in 7 tries that it was unreasonable to expect that this team was good enough to win 7 straight just because Romo was back.

The best move is to get all of your injured players healthy for next year now Romo has another setback that will make it even more likely that he will get the same injury again.

Yeah. He's had a couple 5 INT games.

And last year on Thanksgiving looked a lot like this year. He only threw 2 INTs that day, but had the same general look of someone who just wasn't physically up to the task.

Garrett said they can super glue it. Romo is officially listed as probable.

This isn't surprising! It looked to be the case last night. We do have to draft a QB early. Hopefully we can groom him for a couple of years before they have to play

Agreed about last Thanksgiving. Shoot even in the 5 int game vs buffalo he finally snapped out of it and moved the ball and won.

Yesterday was complete ineffectiveness. Had difficulty even completing a pass.

The INTs were bad enough, but the fact they happened when going to Witten was the shell-shocker. Romo couldn't even trust his reads to his security blanket.

I'm excited to research the QBs I the 2016 draft.

CBS Sports website, has the best rankings. Already looked, 3 QBs rated in top 19 players overall.
2 more in the 2nd round. Then a big drop off IMO. 1 with a 2-3 round grade. That is Cardale Jones from Ohio State.
They need one of then1st round guys. Or one in the 2nd round at least if Elliot is there in the first for a RB.

You don't get to be that picky. And where are all these great second-round quarterbacks?
