The only game Romo could be healthy enough to play is a championship game. Another QB would have to get us there and Jerry and Co. would deny that QB the honor of playing in a championship game. Putting a clearly hurt player on IR is not "mailing it in". It is acknowledging reality.

At any rate, this is not a Garrett thing at all.

Wow, first Dr. delusional thinks we can salvage our season with a late season run like the Giants (I think that he has invoked this dream in 2 different seasons) then he believes we can revamp our offense on the Pats dual tight end Gronk/Hernandez model, and now Jerry believes that our 8 losses will springboard us into the playoffs and beyond - ala the Panthers.
