Lynrd Skynrd. :bang2:

Freebird is played way too much and has become an anthem of something less then stellar.

Now I like the guitars lines in Sweet Home alabama and I think the pinched harmonics are pretty darn good in Saturday night special.

Give me allman brothers any day over LS.
The Allmans are good but Skynyrd is better imo

"All Along the Watchtower" and "Stairway to Heaven" are the only ones of those 10 that I would even consider in MY top 10.

Aerosmith-AC/DC-Lynard Skynard = TRASH!!

But that's just my opinion. And since I respect your opinion as well, I'll just say...Good List.

I'd be interested in hearing your picks since I know you run that online radio station and hear just about everything.

I'm not much of a music man, and I wouldn't even know where to begin but I'll definitely be checking out some of the songs in this thread if I haven't heard them yet.

I used to play that on guitar years ago, don't even know if I would remember how now.

Was a decent song...even though it was heavily influenced by Led Zep to the point of almost copy right violation lol.

But it was fun to play on the guitar.

Too many to even begin to make a list, but I'll throw out Rock N Roll All Night by KISS, Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd and Go Your Own Way by Fleetwood Mac.

Take your pick off U2's Joshua Tree.

I was cutting the rug
At a place called the jug
With a girl named Linda Lou
When in walked a man
With a gun in his hand
And he was looking for you know who

"The Last Resort" by the Eagles is another of my favorites

Furthermore, the top 5 rock bands ever IMO:

1: Led Zepplin
2: The Eagles
3: Aerosmith
4: Pink Floyd
5: Lynard Skynard

I know, the Beatles and the Stones arent there, they just arent my thing though. Van Halen and AC/DC are up there as well

Black Sabbath has to be up there as well. If you haven't listened to them, don't cheat yourself.

In addition to Paranoid, listen to N.I.B., War Pigs, and Iron Man. War Pigs has a chilling intro with air raid sirens lightly in the background. N.I.B. is just pure fun to listen to. You can't understand a thing Ozzy says, but when he sings he flat out nails it. A song by him I love is Dreamer. It'll make you think.

Hotel California by the Eagles should have made my list too.

I have a rule when riding in a car with me. If Pink Floyd comes on the radio turn it up and listen. They're brillaint. The lyrics to Comfortably Numb are an anthem.

I've never listened to Black Sabbath, I'll have to try it.

And I agree, Pink Floyd's lyrics are some of the best ever. Them and Zepplin are probably the best lyrical rock bands I've ever heard.

Floyd and Zeppelin are far and away my favorite bands. I love Dazed and Confused and Kashmir by Zeppelin.

Here's rock trivia for you, where did they (Zep) get the name for their song "Black Dog?"
