I hear he's pretty good at dominoes.

Oh, and you forgot Cabo San Lucas tour guide.

Well If he's twice as good as a tour guide as he is a LB then I don't want any part of him showing me around Cabo next week...

think that they actually figured out how much he sucked and sat him for 1 or 2 3rd down plays in the 4th quarter. Brooking actually made a decent open field play in one of those series.

Seriously, it's a 10-0 D when he is on the field, LOL at anybody that thinks that he can play in any numbered defense 4-3 or otherwise.

Seriously...what did this guy do on film in college to warrant consideration of even a first day pick? His aversion to contact is obvious, so I'm assuming he was the same way in college.

Did he get drafted purely on size, "track speed" and the fact he played for OSU? Oh i forgot about his daddy....

Yes, his daddy connections.
That is how some get on this team. Marion Barber is the exception who got here with talent.
Brooking, for example, is good at chest-pounding. He is a great . . . fishing buddy of Wades.

I thought those were gloves to go with his ballgown.

Sad but true. I was really willing to give Barbie the benefit of doubt but his on the field play is like a rat pissing on cotton, soft.

I was surprised to see him playing at the end of the game. He is useless. Is he even ST fodder? Wasted pick and roster spot.

1) growing a ponytail.

that is all.

seriously, the guy is athletic as heck but how in the world can he be so poor in contact situations. how many guys his size fail to tackle cleanly?

This is no lie right here. He seriously looks like a CB chicken fighting down the sideline with a WR when he was trying to make a tackle last night. The guy just abused him and he got up looking like somebodies little sister after having been run over in a pickup game in the back yard. This guy needs to not even be on the field IMO. He doesn't want to be there. You can see that IMO.

I keep waiting for Carpenter to redeem himself.

Thats goning be a very, very long wait. I was hopeful for a long time that he would turn the corner and become an average NFL linebacker at the very least, but I just don't think it's going to happen.

He's just not a good football player.

I thought Brooking was better last night. And I wonder if Jason Williams will be able to take that job?

Yeah, but neither is Carpenter. Seriously, I'd go with Butler, Williams, or Octavien before I'd even consider Carpenter.

Trade hime to Miami and Bill Parcells. Or better yet, trade him to Washington! He is the only guy I would like to become a Commander.

Carpenter never was and never will be an ILB.

Jeez how frickin long is it going to take for the Cowboys to figure that out.

He was an OLB off the edge pass rusher at OSU.

Trying to make him into an ILB was just stupid.

No it is not stupid. Converting a 4-3OLB to a 3-4ILB is a natural progression.

Unfortunately, Barbie is not any type of LB, he simply lack the physicality to play defense. He plays like he doesn't want to get dirty.

It was stupid in Carpenters instance.

Anyone who watched him at all in College...knew damn well he wasn't an ILB.

Why?

You said it...he's not physical enough and never was.
