Top 5 Current Cowboys

1. Tony Romo
2. Terrell Owens
3. DeMarcus Ware
4. Terence Newman
5. Nick Folk

Folk deserves some love. He's bailed us out of some tight spots.

How is MArion Barber not on some of these top 5's?

Ok yea He wants a big contract and all but come on guys...Give the guy the respect he deserves. he alone lifted our team many times. His hard running in the fourth Qtr, heart and tough running.

He showed heart when everybody else folded like lawn chairs...

BArber is My #2 behind only romo.

#1 DeMarcus Ware - It's been a long, LONG time since I knew for a fact that a front seven Cowboys defensive player filled opposing teams' offense with fear every game.

#2 Jason Witten - He has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is a top offensive playmaker both at and outside his position.

#3 Tony Romo - The franchise quarterback successor drought was finally broken by an undrafted free agent, but he has played well enough to begin speaking his name along with Staubach and Aikman. Settle down, CrazyCowboy. I said begin. He still has a ways to go.

#4 Terence Newman - Opposing quarterbacks acknowledge his statue on this team by rarely throwing in his direction. 'nuff said.

#5 Mat McBriar - This guy doesn't get enough love, so I will. He has rarely, RARELY let me down. When its time to punt, I know he's going to do his job to give the opposing team the worst field position humanly possible.

Honorable Mention - Marion Barber & Jay Ratliff, both of whom I'm expecting to see much more gritty, hardnosed football on either side of the LOS.

Romo has played well enough to begin speaking his name along with Danny White maybe. Staubach (2 rings) and Aikman (3 rings)??? Not in my book.

I don’t see how your only real running back of last season is not on the list. The guy made so many clutch plays.

1. T.O
2. Romo
3. D-Ware
4. MB3
5. Terry Glenn, when healthy the best second Reciver in the entire league

However cant leave out T-New and Hamlin. And I think Felix Jones will be a absolute Stud.

T-new
Witten
Roy
Hurd
tie - williams/hamlin

1. Roy
2. Newman
3. Ware
4. Barber
5. Romo

really tough to leave off Witten, TO and Glenn..

There is just to many good players thats why.

We have 7 or 8 guys who are top 5 players at their position and thats not even counting Pacman who could be top 5 as well when he gets back up to speed.

I can respect that, but I disagree. Romo could eventually prove me wrong. That's why I said, "He still has a ways to go", but he has shown enormous potential to possibly reach the elite level. Of course, we'll all see if that actually happens.

Looks like I owe CrazyCowboy an apology.:

4. Romo

If Flo wasn't good for 1-2 false starts per game, I would understand your gripe.

He's not.

So I guess you do.

Glad to have you aboard.

1. Romo-- Let's face it. Everything starts with the QB. He's why we have a chance to win every game.

2. T.O.-- Dynamic, all-pro, HOF caliber receiver that sets up the entire passing game.

3. D-Ware-- Freakish athleticism and one of the best young players in the league.

4. Witten-- Mr. Consistency and perhaps the best all-around TE in the league.

5. MBIII-- Heart and soul of the offense from an emotional standpoint. Throwback player fearless player and TD Machine.

Lol. I Love flow but I just get annoyed with his false starts. Perhaps it's not every game but enough to annoy.

The same could be said of TO's drops, or Romo's games where he's mentally off...really all great players have drawbacks somewhere. But Flo has been one of the best LTs in the league for the past two years, and certainly is one of the best players on our team. The only people I see on our team who dominate their position as much or more than Flo are TO and Ware. Witten does as well, but TE is probably less valuable.

Witten had 96 catch's last season. I'd say thats very valuable.

So would I. But as positions go, primary rusher, left tackle, and #1 WR are probably all more important and valuable than a top notch TE.
