Why does it seem as if the ONLY reason we are talking about extending Dork is because of cap reasons, and that it has NOTHING to do with Dorks ability to go next level??? So spin our wheels for 4-5 more years just to avoid ONE year of a cap issue??? ASININE!!!!!!!!!!!

That is all you are talking about. I think Dak has more than enough talent to win a SB.

Jerry has done it before. His weird need to stay relevant has cost us dearly.

What about Deshaun Watson? Mind you he got traded for when everyone knew he had a suspension coming….
Yes. Every GM wants to do a deal like Cleveland did. And then watch the quarterback (Mayfield) they dumped win a playoff game and the team they made the ridiculous trade with also win a playoff game. Any NFL GM with a pulse and an IQ over 10 can see the idiotic deals Denver and Cleveland made are regrettable. None of the 31 other teams are going to do any deal that is nearly as stupid as those deals. No one will offer Dallas anything for Dak Prescott. Nothing. Even if Dak did not have a no trade clause in his contract it would be like he does. Because no team will offer Dallas anything for him. Forget it. Stop fantasizing.

Thank Jerruh Jones, he kept restructuring the contract and you should only do that with players that you plan on resigning and extending. Now the back heavy contract has the Cowboys pinned in a corner with no cap flexibility, a player with a no trade clause, and a ton of FAs.

Which means the plan is to resign Dak.

A post June 1st trade would save 34
Are you guys new to following the Cowboys?

If not, then you realize the most important thing to Jerry is keeping the team relevant, that means contending for playoffs every year.

Trading or releasing Dak is way too much risk for Jerry, because he knows Dak can rack up enough wins in the regular season to make the playoffs and that keeps the Cowboys relevant. If Lance takes over and is a dud, then a 4 or 5 win Cowboy team is no longer relevant.

Losing in the 1st round is fine, not making the playoffs is not fine......................Dak can get you to the playoffs, Lance we dont know......too much risk for Jerry.

You have no idea what anyone would do or how desperate teams are for quarterbacks.

And you do? You know? Dallas Cowboys fans act like they’re desperate for a quarterback. Half want Trey Lance to be the starter, a fourth of them want Rush. And you want to say I have no idea what a team desperate for a quarterback will do. I have an idea that no team in the NFL has any interest in trading for Dak Prescott. He is the Dallas Cowboys’ starting quarterback and you don’t like it. Deal with it.

Yup.

If they extend him, it will bury our cap for years.

And for what? Dak is Kirk Cousins.

Except Cousins is a better QB.

I used to be a Dak fan.

Especially after the 2016 season.

Dak would get Jason fired.

And Jason deserved it.

Especially after the way Jason and Jerry wasted Romo’s best seasons.

It’s time to move on from Dak.

He’s a big time Dak troll.
Tell us Rocky after all we have seen in the past 8 seasons how exactly is DAKCHOKA gonna win a Superbowl?
It's not a raffle or a slot machine you have to beat 3 good NFC playoff teams and then win vs the AFC contender.
Has Dak shown you he can accomplish this feat?
Now be honest Rocky has he?
Nah didn't think so..............
P.S. You are the King here of the Dak Trolls why I have no idea.
