Everyone keeps saying "trade him to Atlanta"

Ok...well ATL does need a QB.

Any sane person who has any football knowledge at all knows ATL isnt trading their Top 10 pick for Dak (#8 i THINK)....so what is it people are suggesting we get in return from ATL?

The trade team actually makes sense....but what compensation would make sense for both teams? (Knowing that their top choice would be the Chicago QB...who I believe still has abyear or 2 left on his cheap rookie deal), and per the rumor mill could be had for a 2nd.
Russell Wilson recently traded to Denver for two #1's and two #2's and some players.

Your opinion on QB trades are almost as bad as your opinions on officiating

The Denver Broncos very much regret making that deal. What NFL general manager, knowing how badly that deal worked out for Denver, would consider any deal remotely similar to it for Dak Prescott? No team is trading anything for Dak because every team knows that if Dallas wants to move on from him they need only wait for him to become a free agent. If they are still interested they can out bid any other team that’s interested and get him for absolutely zero compensation to Dallas. If you were the GM of any of the other 31 teams in the NFL would you trade “two #1’s and two#2’s and some players” for Dak Prescott? Would you?

And you think teams are looking at that Russell Wilson trade...with how it worked out, and are going "Hey, let's do what Denver did!" LOL

Also....you think Dak achieved the same success Russell Wilson did? And do you think Dak has the arm talent Russell Wilson did?

Hmmmmmm. I kinda remember Wilson winning one Superbowl, and doing enough to win them another Superbowl.

Dak chokes every playoffs he's ever been in. Let's trade him for Mahomes!

Our cap savings would help extend a window.

Paying Dak, Lamb, and Parsons is just more of the same.

You know you cant build a strong enough roster to win anything with.

Dak had a heck of a season and his ability increased as a player but paying him is a dead end.

Anyone with any football sense knows that.

Getting rid of him opens a ton of possibilities.
I know it makes sense for US.

But I'm trying to ask what kind of trade would be attractive to the OTHER team.

The other team has to want to make the trade.

If ATL can't get Fields....or if New England decides to draft Marvin Harrison Jr and not Jayden Daniels, I could see either team forking over a 2nd rounder for Dak (both of which would be within the Top 40 picks)

The June 1st thing only applies to releases, not trades. This info isn't hard to find.

I wouldn't be opposed depending on the draft capital. Use one of the picks to add a QB to compete with Lance. Might take a giant step backward, but we need to be bold to try to get over the hump. I don't blame Dak for not getting us over the hump, but we need to just keep searching for answers instead of sticking with the status quo. And that's not just at the QB position.

It saves money against the cap in 2025 as well. The only year it increases his cap hit is 2026, where it adds 11m. If people want him gone so badly, it can be done....especially if you draft his replacement or just go with Lance and see what he has, If Lance completely sucks, we have a terrible record and get a shot at a franchise type QB.
Lance has nothing.

It is really not that hard to figure it out. McCarthy is back, which means Dak will be back.

If Dak is out, then it is a complete tear down rebuild and McCarthy would be gone.

Please don't respond with McCarthy is here to develop Trey Lance. Jus stop it. McCarthy was here before Lance.

Let's face reality. Jeruh had too many drinks and made the trade on his own.

This entire thread is nonsense based on a false premise. Well done, braveheart.
Anyway we can Lance and save some money?

What about Deshaun Watson? Mind you he got traded for when everyone knew he had a suspension coming….

How about we keep it simple and do a June first cut!!! Have to find a team that is willing to do a trade
That's exactly the point.
Cut him and sit back and laugh at any team dumb enough to sign him.
The Cowboys would get adequate compensation simply by being rid of him.
