I hope you go along with him. Your post here of being upset that Dak is now the starting QB and you want Romo. I like Romo as well but he is 36 he does have back issues and is on the downhill side of his career. Dak career is only beginning and I can promise you Dallas is not looking to trade him away nor would any other team. Teams just do not get rid of their QB's who are producing as Dak is. Seahawks did not start shopping Russell Wilson why because they see the talent and know how hard it is to find a QB

I'm upset that at this moment, we are not starting our best players. That is all I am upset about, and all anyone with a brain would ever be upset about.

I like Romo but no one can deny what Dak has done, he has went out and earned the job, he has earned the respect of this team and even according to teammates he is leading this team. I'm sorry things have worked out this way for Romo but that is life in the NFL. It may not always be fair but it is what it is. Dallas is not going to change back Dak is the starting QB.

Unlike some I will not come down on Romo and if by some chance he is playing in these playoffs I will be pulling for him as much as I ever have but for the most part the change at QB has been made and will remain so.

He got beat by the giants twice and could do almost nothing against them.

Sorry, but thats why playing your best players matters.

Dak did great...but I believe by playing your best players, we could have done better.

and Romo has lost games as well. You act as if Romo has never had bad games he has. He has thrown poor passes in big games and been picked off. I'm not here to blast Romo but some are acting as if he has been gold every time and he hasn't. He has 2 post season wins and some of those teams were talented on both sides of the ball.

Thats like saying you want Damien Wilson to play because Sean Lee had a bad game.

We are talking capability and history.

Tony is, until proven otherwise via playing, the better QB.

No it is not. Dak has lead this team through out the season and has lead this team to a 13-3 record and frankly the last loss was because of backups in a meaningless game. Dak has earned this and I'm sorry people can't deal with that but it is the case. You say Tony is better fine the team see a future in Dak and he is now the starting QB people can deal with it or not that is their choice.

Who held the rookie QB season qb rating record before Dak broke it by a mere 2 points this year?

RG3

Again, my entire point is based on the fact that statistically, QB's can be one-year wonders. IF dak is, then his value is highest NOW and will decline in the future.

Since we cant really predict the future of a QB, then selling at his high point, statistically speaking, gets the most value.

I'm not saying we would or should trade dak...I am saying if someone offers 3 firsts, that is by far the LEAST risk of the options and I would do it.

I'm sorry you can't tell the difference between a 1 read and run QB like RGIII and what Dak is doing. We have been seeing Dak make more and more calls at the line of scrimmage and putting the offense in better situations based on what he is seeing in defensive formations. Dak is not looking to run nearly as often as what RGIII was doing in his rookie season.

While there are things Romo clearly is better at because of experience there are things that Dak adds to this offense

I cant tell the difference in what Dak has done and what Nick Foles did in 2013. Pocket passer who can run if needed (Foles had 221 yards rushing and 3 TD's).

And dont give me the "Gimmick offense" response.

Foles 2013
27 TD
2 INT
9.1 Y/A
221 rushing yards
3 rushing TD's

Dak 2016
23 TD
4 INT
8.0 Y/A
282 rushing yards
6 rushing TD's

Passing TD's - Foles
Rushing TD's - Dak
Total TD's - Foles
Interceptions - Foles
Y/A - Foles
Rushing Yards - Dak

We could do the same thing with Romo in his 1st season but instead of doom and gloom people saw a future. Dallas sees a future with Dak. If you don't fine. I'm really tired of people like you ripping on Dak because you are upset over Romo.

I like how you find 2 players and act like "this is going to happen to Dak" Is Dak Prescott the same person as Nick Foles or RG3? So basically what you're doing is warning us that Dak could be a fraud and giving 2 examples of it, one already having been debunked. So basically one player and Foles' was in his second season when he went 27-2 not his rookie year. Duly noted there's a microscopic chance Dak could be a one hit wonder but there's a way better chance we will win multiple Super Bowls with Dak. I hope you're long gone by then as Romo will be playing on another team.

Let me ask if Dallas puts Romo in for the playoffs and he does not get it done then would people feel better about making the move to Dak. It seems to be a case where people want Romo to get 1 more shot regardless of what this team has done without him. Does not matter than when Dez was out of the lineup and people said Dak could not win he did. When Tyron missed games early in the season and Dak would face pressure and fail yet won. He has 2 losses on the season in his rookie year when no thought he could be more than a 500 QB. All Dak has done it take on critics and proven them wrong but still not good enough. Every test put in front of Dak he has succeeded but of course NY Dallas has lost both game by a grand total of 4 points and that proves he can't get it done? LOL Whatever I'm sick of critics who want to put a bar so high on Dak yet do not seem to put that same high bar in front of Romo. It was everyone else fault when Romo was behind center, yet with Dak it was his fault Dallas lost to NY? Go figure

Wait, you're arguing that CHIP KELLY, of all people, was NOT running a college gimmick offense that was a 1 season wonder at the NFL level?

:lmao2:

Please quit being silly and trying to compare Dak to RGIII.
Other than being black and being rookie QBs they have nothing else in common.
They ran completely different offenses and RGIII got injured and was never the same.
