No, it doesn’t - I’d much rather we trade Cooper than Gallup. Gallup doesn’t disappear or act hurt after every catch. I cringe every time Cooper catches the ball because he either comes up gimpy, coughs it up or both.

Wide receivers are like a new car...once they leave the dealership they lose value. I think at tops you can get maybe 2 3rd rounders for him. Eagles aren't desperate enough to do such a foolish trade.

Cooper can be traded/released after next season without much of a cap hit ($6M dead money vs $22M cap hit for a $16M savings) so sign Gallup to an extension next season and move on from Cooper as a Gallup/Lamb combo with a slot WR would be a good WR grouping for Dallas.

Sorry man but, Gallup gets a lot of great coverage matchups because of Cooper.

So does Lamb.

Cooper is playing hurt and still comes up clutch constantly

Well I Do agree with him there. You can't take the cap hit on Amari Cooper. You aren't trading him or getting rid of him until about 2 years down the road.

Cooper you cant move now though. Gotta wait probably until after next season because of the cap hit.

Why would anyone do this???

Cooper is the better WR. He's the best finesse WR in the game period. Probably taking the crown from Larry Fitzgerald.

Finesse WRs can have longer careers. Cooper has way more value to the Cowboys.

Receivers aren't netting 1st rounders. Especially one who has only 1 1,000 yard year in his career in a passing league. If you want a wide receiver you go to the draft to get one. Jerry Jones and the Bills are the only ones who trade 1st rounders for wide receivers.

Absolutely no way on earth that the Philly will trade us their #1 for Gallup. Howie would be run out of town for giving us a #1 pick.

If he wants to save Wentz' career, he needs a true #1 WR.

Gallup is likely the only one that could possibly trade hands before the trade deadline....

This is the exact same situation as the Cowboys trade for Cooper.
 
just two years ago we had a wr by committee situation that sucked. now we have the best wr group in the nfl and some are ready to tear it apart. splain it to me lucy.

Oh I don't think this team is ready to contend for anything. That being said if you are looking to trade a guy I'd be more in favor of Cooper who is older than Gallup, Wilson and Lamb. Problem is that his contract makes it very difficult.

which means his market value is lower.

Cooper is also a finesse WR, he can play until his mid 30s.

Gallup can fetch a #1.... We can't keep both after next season.

Depends on who you are bartering with. If it's a team that is desperate enough I think we can get a decent return for Cooper. Yes market value is higher for Gallup, but his value to the Cowboys is higher too.

That's where we disagree. Look at the stats when Cooper is on the field versus when he isn't.

Cooper is a finesse WR, similar to Fitzgerald, who could easily play until his mid 30s.

Gallup is a clutch / deep threat, who likely will be out of the league before Cooper.
