I saw him quit vs. Baltimore. He's become less impressive in games.

ok fine....."He’s not making our defense better and has been a virtual no show so far this season" is still wrong.

Maybe your post simply comes across more negative of Parsons than you're intending, but it seems a little harsh. Micah isnt the issue here. Trading him could be part of the solution, but you better get a massive haul including multiple 1st round picks if you do.
How has our defense gotten better with him? We have an historically bad defense right now. I’m negative of Parsons, but he is a great player. There are negatives with him.

Micah is the defenses best player.

If you trade him. The defense would get considerably worse immediately.

Just so we are clear.

I’m not sure why people want to get rid of a top 3 pass rusher in the league, because he is just “ok” against the run. (He’s not even the main problem with the run defense).
The defense is already not good enough with him while he's cheap. It's not going to get better once he's expensive.

Also, since his game is largely due to his unreal athleticism, you have to imagine that his impact will diminish as he ages.

We've had a top 5 defense defense the last few seasons
During the regular season but bottom 5 against good teams and in the playoffs. We’re 29th in defense right now and Parsons is off to the worst start of his career.

I don't trust this front office to:
1. Get appropriate compensation for a guy like Parsons.
2. Actually use the resources to fix the holes in the defense properly.

Micah can not fix the issues himself and fixing the defensive issues does not require trading Parsons either.

He’s not making our defense better and has been a virtual no show so far this season. He’ll be looking for close to $40 million per season next year. He’ll be a training camp holdout. He only has one sack in our first 3 games and opponents have figured out how to neutralize him. He’ll be lucky to have double digit sacks this season with teams running the ball all day. He’s not making as many eye popping plays as he did his first couple of seasons and he continues to wear down. It’s just been reported our run defense is the worst through 3 games in the last 60 years in the NFL. Parsons says he only wants to play until he’s 30. He’s talking about being in the Olympics in four years. He doesn’t love football. We need to see what kind of haul we could get for him in a trade. We need to build the DL with a solid DT and add a quality RB.
He's a luxury not a necessity. They have way to many holes, created by the great GM's lack on knowing how to build a roster, to pay him all the money. Pay him, Dak, Ceedee, Diggs, and the team still sucks.

Seriously.

"He doesn't make us better but someone would trade for him and trade $40m" is just as ridiculous as all of the "let's trade Dak to NE for the #3 overall" trade proposals. It makes no sense!
I think the sentiment is that he's a luxury for a team that can't afford luxuries (us). At least, that's my sentiment.

His peak is not going to coincide with a rebuild that needs to happen here, and we need additional draft capital to push us past the status quo.

The thought is there is probably a contender or fringe contender out there that feels Parsons would put them over the top and would give us a decent draft pick haul for him.

Again if a team we play over the next 3 weeks passes the ball in the first half the coaching staff should be fired.....that pretty much takes #11 out of the fold...not to mention it was 1v1 bewteen he and Jackson yesterday with the game on the line..how did that go?

We’re going to continue to suck until we add a real war daddy up front with a few other pieces. Plus we need a quality back. The two RBs we passed up in free agency both had 100+ yards yesterday.
