just read on dallascowboys.com the Cowboys are trying to package a deal with Greg Ellis and picks to move up in the draft. It was in the fan zone not sure if its true they said it was being discussed on Mike the Maddog show on Sirius Satellite. I'm trying to get mine up on the computer now. Hoping to here it on the NFL channel on sirius if true.

How much trade value does a declining, malcontent, 33 year old hybrid have? I doubt much.

Not much but maybe Parcells will have pity on us for last year. :laugh2:

There is no Mike and Maddog show on Sirius.

Maddog has a show on there though. Mike Francesa is on NY radio.

Just put the link up here of where you read it.

Don't know how to give one but try dallascowboys.com for the site, also says they are on the verge of signing ken lucas. Listen guys I would hate to be posting b.s. on here I'm hoping the best as everyone else here, but I didn't see this here and thought I'd pass it on. The teams listed as possible trade partners are Detroit for #33 pick, and Cleveland.

I just read it. LINK.

It's just a post from a fan who heard them talking possibles on the show.

I haven't even heard one word about Ken Lucas coming to Dallas.

And Detroit is going to want a fortune for that 33rd pick.

We seem to wait to do these kind of things when the player has very little in the tank. Why didn't we do this 2 seasons ago? Just rid ourselves of Ellis and his annual offseason temper tantrums.

Hopefully some sucker GM will come along and think Ellis has something to offer.

No apologies required.

Getting rid of Ellis and moving up. Sounds good to me. If we can't trade him we need to cut him or else we'll never hear the end of this.

There's some talk that Ken Lucas is close to a deal with the Cowboys?
Anybody hearing about this?
Mike Francesa and Christopher "Mad Dog" Russo. from Mad dog sports is saying that the Cowboys will sign Lucas as a Starter' Nickel.
They also have said that the Cowboys are quietly shopping Greg Ellis for picks or a package with picks to gain a high pick.
The one deal that they said would work for the Cowboys would be with the Detroit Lions for pick #33.

Mad dogg sports also names Cleveland browns a a suiter for Ellis and could possibly inquire about a Package of there 2nd round pick and 4th rounder for Greg Ellis Patrick Crayton and a 3rd rounder.
If you have sat radio its still talking about it

would be great if we can find a sucker (some other NFL team that is interested) for greg ellis and crayton;

i dont want to give up our 2nd and our 3rd to do this though, thats way too much

now if greg ellis is involved with a low round pick like a 5th or 7th, im for it, and we can get at least a 2nd or 3rd rounder for greg
a

and if crayton is involved say we can get a 3rd or 4th for crayton, go for it,

now at same time if we do trade greg and crayton, we need to go sign Holt for insurance, Holt can help romo, the young wrs, and Holt was on a super bowl team that won too, he knows what it takes to win too

If Matt Millan was still employed as a GM somewhere I would almost believe this could happen....

i would do it, if you remember the new head coach of the cleveland browns, did same thing with the jets, he traded for some veterans, maybe we can strike some deal;;

what would make this work, if 2 nfl teams are involved for greg ellis and crayton services, that makes the price go up

awhile back i posted about trading crayton for a 3rd rounder, and i got blasted big time by several zoners saying no one would give the cowboys a 3rd rounder for crayton, that i was dreaming,

so i would be estatic if this happened,

Right now we are both dreaming. I can't imagine anyone dumb enough to do that.
