Travis Frederick update?

Write him off for this season.

Hope he has some progress in the offseason.

Not too optimistic at his chances to ever play football again.

Based on what I've heard, I'm very optimistic about Frederick long term. I think at some point he'll put on #72 again and play for us at a Pro Bowl level. It just won't happen in 2018.

Why do people think Frederick will retire when everything I've read seems to point to a near certainty he will recover it's just a question of when?

The guy is 27 years old. This seems like fan frustration speaking.

I hope he gets better, besides football. good dude.

Last I read is he lost some weight and strength. Still experiences numbness with hands. I'd write him off this season but expect him flying full force in 2019.

Wanna bet? He will not be back this year. It took Mark schelereth a year and a half to come back.

Yeah, but they most likely caught Fredbeard Beard's illness a lot faster, before it progressed. So that's a factor. You still may be correct. I'm just sayin'....

I'm not about to write Frederick off, as though his particular case is devoid of any hope.

Let's take it a day at a time and hope for the best. I don't hear that fat lady singing yet!

Frederick's health is in trouble, yes but his disease was caught early! There's still time.

You can reopen this Thread in about 6-8 months. Everything earlier is nonsense. Hes not playing Football this Season.

They caught this a lot earlier then with Mark also medicine has came a long way since then. I do agree that he should take this whole year and the off season to come back No need to rush him. The last I heard he was lifting weights light weights. This is serious but they caught it early and he will play next season and have a long life. Its not like it was twenty years ago medicine has come along a long ways.

Travis F is one of the best draft picks of the past 20 years. He has been a great player, a great guy, and reliable. He NEVER missed a game. It's such a shame what he's facing.

He will most likely be back next season ready to roll. More than even his career I am hoping his health does well so that he has a long happy life.

I'll have to find him saying it. He was on NFL network sharing his story and I remember him specifically saying a year and a half

It appears there was just a little misunderstanding on how he worded it - what it seems he was saying was it took a year and a half to feel 100% rather than that it took a year and a half to come back and play.

Exactly fred isnt even in the part where hes trying to regain his strength back. It's a long road. They caught it early but he ain't playing this year

What are you basing your opinion on?
Mark schelereth who stated it took him a year and a half to get his strength back. He missed 9 games and was still fighting it while playing the next season
