Trent Dilfer - The Cowboys will beat Chargers, Saints and Eagles

The way this board has turned on Scandrick after riding his jock and killing Jenkins all last year is hilarious.
It's not the entire board, just a few who have done a 180. With respect, it's not that unusual. Heck, some are even doing it with Roy Williams now. When the wind changes direction, it's virtually a certainty that both players will receive opposite reactions.

I heard Dilfer talking Cowboys on the Colin Cowherd show. Colin asked him how he saw the next 2 games playing out.

Dilfer said he thinks the Boys win both, and then beat Washington as well. And depending on what is left to play for, they would beat Philly.

He is the only guy I've heard still think the team can finish strong.

Just thought it was interesting.

Too many blows to the head for ol' Trent.

Only games we have a shot at are the Chargers and the Eagles. Maybe I have had too many concussions too.

You think we don't have a chance against the Commanders, but we can beat the Chargers?

If the 'Skins keep playing like they have of late, they will beat us in their place.

I guess you're right. We have absolutely no chance against a team that's lost 3 straight, including one against us where we played about as poorly as we've played all year. But we do have a chance against two teams that are on 3-game and 7-game winning streaks.

If we could play mistake free football then maybe but this team always finds ways to lose this time of the year.

Im definetely hoping for the best but I have my doubts.

Go beat the Chargers and dont give us some gut wrenching loss Sunday and we'll see.

I don't care what dilfer says. I don't see how we match up well with the Chargers. They make big plays on offense from the WR position they have a great receiving tE that can make plays after the catch who will be very hard for us to defend and Sproles is a receiving threat out of the backfield. I'm not buying what he's selling.

We matchup well with any team we play.

The key for us is to not hand over the game off of stupid mistakes.

Merely because we are playing at our place,,,nothing more or less. Heck, we may lose all 4 games for all I know:p:

If Jabari Greer and Randall Gay don't play when the Cowboys roll into New Orleans, I think the Cowboys might have a slight advantage against the Saints. Dallas has been very good against the run, and the Saints have struggled early in games when they couldn't run the ball.

If the Cowboys keep blowing assignments, then it won't matter. Hopefully this adversity will help make them stronger, but I've hoped that in the recent past and it has yet to happen.

The last time I remember adversity turning to a positive was maybe the Leon Lett debacle on Thanksgiving in 1992.

I agree. Last game Dallas did make some mistakes that we have not been making all season long and I expect Dallas to correct those things and like our chances at home vs SD this weekend.

I hope man but this black cloud that hovers over us seems to never go away.

2 games this year we dominated the Giants and we still lost. That makes me sick.

Trent Dilfer is on with Collin Cowherd and just said that he thinks we beat the Chargers, Saints and Eagles.

He feels that the Cowboys match up will against the Saints and can move the ball on them.

Man, that is going on the limb.

I dont disagree. We can beat the Chargers and Eagles and even the Saints... the Saints will score alot but we can too.

I think Roy Williams will be the difference-maker. He is starting to feel like he is part of the offense. In large part because he is catching balls and Romo is throwing them a little better to him as well.

I hope so as well. I'm disappointed in this past loss but the Cowboys have to get over it and move on. They have a big game vs SD and a win puts us in a great position. I knew before the Giants game that a loss would cause this uproar and it has. All the Cowboys can do is maintain focus on this upcoming game and not get caught up in this outside fire storm.

I disagree. Gates is a match up problem no matter what team is facing him. The same way Witten is a problem no matter what team is facing him. Sproles present a problem because for 2 straight weeks Spencer has shown his inability to be able to cover a RB. Hell it's been like this probably all season just haven't been exploited. So Gates and Sproles off the back are match up problems no line backer on our defense can run with sproles and none of them can cover Gates. If you put Sensabaugh on gates then that either leaves Ball or Hamlin to play deep. Which leaves us open to big plays some of which was tried and missed by the Giants. We don't match up well with any team we don't even match up well with the giants if we did steve smith wouldn't of abused us like he did after the second meeting. It will be interesting to say the least to see against the chargers.

Agreed. They also have two big physical WR's in Jackson and Floyd, along with LT and Sproles, Dallas will have it's hand full, but, so will SD. I think Dallas's defense will step and they are a little better then SD's,

Like always though. Dallas cannot shoot themselves in the foot with lazy play and penalties.
