Trent Dilfer - The Cowboys will beat Chargers, Saints and Eagles

Dallas is about the face the premiere OC as a Head Coach in the league. I hope Garrett learns from the master on how to develop a QB properly and play to his strengths, as well as how to call screens. Oh and maybe the whole team can learn how to get nasty and mean like Phillip Rivers...

How is that? Dallas sucked at running screens when Norv was OC here in Dallas. Garrett offense is moving the ball and putting up points and Romo is playing damn good football. Get a clue instead of the same old mindless whinning you do about Garrett.

to even compare Garrett and Norv as if they are even close to being on the same level is the mark of stupidity... San Diego, the team Norv is coaching right now, is killing people with screens to Sproles. Even if we assume we sucked when Norv was here, he isn't now...

this team has the talent to beat anybody so none of the games are "losses" including new orleans. will we.... i have no idea.

that is the most frustrating thing about this team over the last couple of years.... if we had a real coaching staff, we may have won something.

yes he has ran screen in SD with a Sproles he was unable to get the Cowboys to execute that same screen so how is he the master. Because he now has the personal and the backs who can execute it? I don't compare Garrett with Norv but either your own blind hatred of Garrett or you lack of understanding is preventing you from seeing this offense is playing well and Romo is having a very good season, he has cut down on turnovers and is avoiding making many of the mistakes he has in the past. I'm sure you will credit Romo for that and claim the Garrett has nothing to do with that.

Bradon Jacobs can take a pass 74 yards down the sideline I shutter to think what Bush can do with. There's no way we match up well with their 3-4 WR sets.

Isn't there a return of Hamlin, that will then bring a secondary of Hamlin, Sensabaugh, Newman, and Jenkins. Then on package, the inclusion of Scandrick and Ball. Not good for a multi-set opponent?

Nope.

Excuses, excuses, excuses. Got anything else? We lost again when it matters. Get a grip on reality. We have some good players but we are not a good team.

We have not played a complete game in years. Offense, defense, special teams, coaching. When are we going to put it together?

I am sick and tired of the pie in the sky fans. Keep paying Jerry. Keep selling out Jerry world, and keep accepting mediocracy. You go ahead and run with that. I live in the real world were being average sucks. I did not get to where I am in life by accepting average.

Excuses ?!?!? One busted play and you make it sound like they do it ALL THE TIME !!!

And as far as complete game hell, that happened against Atlanta THIS YEAR !!!

Winning records is not mediocrity, just because Dallas hasn't climbed over the playoff mountain doesn't mean they are losers.

Trent Dilfer is on with Collin Cowherd and just said that he thinks we beat the Chargers, Saints and Eagles.

He feels that the Cowboys match up will against the Saints and can move the ball on them.

Man, that is going on the limb.

I wouldn't predict a sweep of those teams but I do predict we beat the Saints. As Dilfer mentions I like the match up. We are no slouch on defense and can definitely move the ball on the Saints. The Saints have a ton of games this year where they played lights out for a quarter but very few where they dominated all 4.

Sproles will kill us. If we can't contain an old slow RB (Jacobs) how in the hell do you think we can keep up with an fast RB like Sproles? Keep believing the Cowboys are a good team and you will continue to be disappointed.

Stop following them and you won't be.

They have proven themselves incapable of winning when it matters. You can not deny that. There is always "one busted play". There is always one bumbled snap or hold or long return or fumble. It is who they are.

Results matter. When you are the Dallas Cowboys Championships matter. You can continue to make excuses or look at the reality of the situation and try to find solutions. It's up to you.

Find solutions ? Unless you were just hired as the Coach/General Manager how are you the fan going to find solutions ?

Bottom line you as a fan can do one of two things follow your team or don't. Period. That's it.

I myself will follow me team, be optomistic, and hope for the best.

Because it sure could be worse; see Commanders/Lions/Browns/Texans...

wow... try to take this in slowly... you do NOT provide solutions for the dallas cowboys.... you are a fan. you get zero votes on any aspect of the organization except whether or not to buy swag... that's all....

you are merely crying for crying's sake. do not pretend it changes anything.

I have enough sense to worry about the things I can change.

How does tilting at windmills work for you?

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
