He's decent but it's an overpay.

People keep banging on about him not hitting Kittle...there's no guarantee he stops the first down even if he takes his head off. Over the years enough tight ends have been able to take the hit from a corner and finish the play. Probably Prescott fans trying to deflect from his clown show.

I would say overpay if he was the top corner.

Paying him like the 6th or 7th and a year with Gilly? Shoot sign me up

Alot of people here are so jaded by bad cb play over the years they forget what elite cb play is

Come on. Mid season he started refusing to engage in contact. It was clear as day. His pass rating against in Yr 2 was 30 points lower than last year. Dude had 7 tackles in his last 5 games last year. Just stop.

There are tons of CB's that can tackle but, the list of CB's with Diggs ball skills and cover ability is very, very short.

Totally OK with paying Diggs. Just hope he doesn't make too many business decisions and plays harder or more physical now that he's a paid man.

If he puts a legitimate hit on Kittle, he likely doesn't make the catch. Diggs wanted to avoid contact.

If Diggs isn't going to put it all on the line in a close playoff game, he's never going to.

I agree. You want to see Diggs make the hit. Maybe or maybe Kittle doesn't complete the play. Overall the defense played well and it wasn't the reason we lost.

Agree. I'm not overly concerned about him not hitting Kittle's block off. Firstly it's very easy to concede a penalty with those types of hits these days if not timed right and Kittle is a hard man to knock off his stride. I would rather he put the hit in but I don't think he bottled it - more concerned with giving away a further 15 yards.

My bigger concern would be Diggs going for gold too often and bagging the interception getting burmed in the process

It is accurate. He still has the 4th year of his rookie deal to play. His 5 year extension doesn't start until 2024. I'm not sure if they can also restructure his 4th year as well. I'll have to see what they did when the details come out.
