A priority. He still got some proving to do4 what?

Those that don't get burned. You can give up a catch, just don't allow a 40+ yard run after it.Which CB in the league would agree to that?
NONE.
Boom or bust DBs have their place in the league, but paying them like they are Revis is when it becomes an issue. Diggs is a Marcus Peters type DB.Agree. I'm not overly concerned about him not hitting Kittle's block off. Firstly it's very easy to concede a penalty with those types of hits these days if not timed right and Kittle is a hard man to knock off his stride. I would rather he put the hit in but I don't think he bottled it - more concerned with giving away a further 15 yards.
My bigger concern would be Diggs going for gold too often and bagging the interception getting burmed in the process
Yep, and whilst the issue was apparent in Game 1 vrs Tampa, we certainly learned to offset the apparent 'weakness' by defensive design. As you say he's a ball hawk and paid INT's.....and yep the Gilmore Effect will be massive on his numbers. The defense doesn’t seem to suffer for his lack of tackling. CBs NEVER get paid for tackling and never will. He gets paid for coverage and interceptions. Like all big contracts, it will pale in the next year or 2. I think it will now be fun to watch him with another legit CB on the other side.
Exactly. Pass rush disappeared at the same time as Brown hitting IR. if CBs can't cover for 3 seconds your pass rush is sterilized. You mean when the pass rush disappeared?

Regrettable to Jerry at best, but probably not the fans. Take the Zeke contract for example. People constantly use that contract as an example of bad contracts. Yeah it was bad for Jerry, but not so much the team in general. Remember what matters most, cap hit. For as long as Zeke was here, we only saw 1 year with a bad cap hit. Then the 11M dead cap. That's not all that bad from a team or fan standpoint. But bad for Jerry.I have a feeling this will be one of those regrettable contracts.
This vato think he lombardi.. calmada dwarf star. This signing is just as relevant for the cap savings it will bring in the near future. Moves within moves.Say you don't know football without saying you don't know football....
I tend to agree.Boom or bust DBs have their place in the league, but paying them like they are Revis is when it becomes an issue. Diggs is a Marcus Peters type DB.
The Zeke contract was a good contract. My only problem w/ it was allowing him to hold out while under contract w/ no repercussions.Regrettable to Jerry at best, but probably not the fans. I agree the front office has done a great job shuffling contracts and making sure they were staggered and either front loaded or back loaded with void years etcetera etcetera they're getting it figured out. I realize this is a huge deal and we still have Sydney lamb coming down the Pike and possibly Micah Parsons but that's a ways down there and we have to still talk about Prescott's restructure or extension but the point here is did we think that Trayvon diggs is worth this deal given he's only three years in and in my opinion he's improved every year and I think he still has room for improvement so we're not paying just for his past interceptions I believe he's gonna be one of the guys that do get better after the contract and I think that whole no contact thing last year had something to do with us losing Lewis and brown and him having something wrong with his hand and I believe he didn't want to risk getting knocked out of the games..Regrettable to Jerry at best, but probably not the fans.
