You really love u some Dak Prescott , change your name bro. He's in year 10, he lacks mobility and brains. He chokes when it counts.

That's trash.
Word. These same guys are saying “Trance” hasn’t shown anything in minimal starts coming from playing for far less snaps than rookies this year that are around the same age.

Dak’s in year 10 and has shown consistency in being a choker against good teams and in the playoffs, so why do they think he’s going to magically improve? Because they’re all Dak lovers.

Use the same set of standards or sit down.

I hear this talking point but it’s a prime example of why he struggles and always will. I feel how good player is is based on the structure and foundation. It’s like trying to learn calculus before learning Geometry. You can’t skip steps. You can’t run before walking. His lack of experience is why he struggles because he skipped steps in his foundation.

There’s no example of a guy lacking experience and just sucking and it clicking…maybe Matt Cassell?

Lance is closer to a finished product than this diamond in the rough. 49ers figured this out too late but when they did they departed.
Sam Darnold on the Jets became Sam Darnold on the Vikings.

Comparing Dak to Lance is some of the dumbest comparisons you will see on this site. Pure stupidity.

I don’t understand it. The problem is people see hi skillet and think Mahomes or Allen. He’s not that. People use his experience as a positive thing. His lack of experience is what stunted his early development.

49ers figured this out. Even this team had only a second round grade on him. Everyone is telling these guys what he is and they still don’t want to see it.
its the dak hate that drives them, thus as I mentioned hanging on to a straw in the middle of tsunami.

problem is you are not comparing Dak to Trance. trance is being compared to other rookies.
if he was any good, then he would have still been in SF, who let him go and replaced him with Purdy, who is showing he is average without great talent around him. purdy showed the smarts and ability to do things when surronded by great talent.

what's the ceiling for trance? geno smith at best. so people want to invest what, 3, 4 years of playing time (to catch up with these other rookies playing time), so that we end up with a geno smith. and then complain that QB spot needs upgraded.

if there is time to be invested, at least someone who may turn into a burrows, allen or herbert.....

so using QB standards, if he has any talent at all, he should have easily beat Rush who has a wet spaghetti arm. he couldn't even do that and the only reason he got on the field was because Jerry didn't want to pay rush his bonus.

and btw, at least Dak had ability to get the team to playoffs. not saying that's good enough. not saying, he is anything special. Lance can't even be the back up QB....so why are you so in love with Trance?

Yeah let’s also remember he showed a pulse once he linked with Shanahan….then ODonnel. Also worth noting Shanahan looked at Lance, Darnold and Lance and shipped Lance out for a 4th rounder.
Lance looked ok for his 1st start at Dallas. Tolbert had the most productive game of his career. He hit Mingo twice right on the numbers. Lance showed his running and escape ability and showed enough to see why they offered him a new contract. I think there is a decent chance that they will sign him and bring him back.

The pure stupidity is being stubborn enough to act like Dak is still 24.

He lost most of his mobility, has an average arm and he's mentally weak in the biggest spots, it's year 10, it's not changing.

Lance is a much better athlete and has way more upside.

I mean this has nothing to do with what is being discussed. Daniel’s and a poor showing. Just like he had a poor one the previous game. Doesn’t mean he sucks it’s just a observation.
so do you mean you would take Lance over Daniels? who ended up 16th in passing yards, 1oth in passing TDs, threw only 9 Ints, 4th in QBR, and took his team to the playoffs as a rookie, but yeah, lets focus on the last meaningless game of the season to pump up trance, who only got to play because Jerry didn't want to pay Rush his bonus.

They played Lance because they wanted see him play before they made him another offer.

Phenom Trance might be the best emergency QB in the league. He is definitely the highest paid.

It’s year 4…just now looking ok in a meaningless regular season game is just irrelevant. I came away from that game more impressed by Mariota.

Kid has serious talent, don't be a hater
Dude, he may have had some serious talent in a low-level college league, playing against scrubs, but the NFL is a little more talented than what he faced......LOL! The 9ers tried everything with this dude to make it work, but he just doesn't have what it takes to be successful in the NFL, so they were going to flat out RELEASE him. That's how low he slid on the 9er depth chart! Think about that for a second, the 9ers spent a KING'S ransom on Trey Lance and had the balls to say they were wrong about him and were going to RELEASE HIM, that was UNTIL JJ showed up with an insane offer. The 9ers were flabbergasted that someone would offer such a high pick for who they considered a bust in the NFL. The sick part of this whole clusterbuck is they have kept this kid around for what reasons, they refused to play him even when Prescott went down and only gave him an opportunity in the last game of the season that really meant nothing, and the Boys still lost. If this kid had serious talent, why didn't he put this team on his back and carry them to a victory against a team that was thinking about next week. Washington was ripe for the picking and Lance couldn't get it done..........................

Mariota has started 74 games compared to Lance’s 5…….huge difference. Mariota should have been expected to be better. Lance may or may not develop but he needs a chance to play in real games somewhere.
