Not in the least. I loved Romo, but Dak outplayed him. I’m a Cowboys fan so whomever helps the team I’ll support 100%. I just wish they would’ve done this earlier in the year and not right before the season opener and not tell MM and not tell the OC and not tell anyone. Now it’s blown up all over the media and yahoos like you think he’s going to take Dak’s job. He’s not, at least not in the next 3 years. He’s raw and so far he’s sucked. So all it’s done is create this huge distraction YOUR POST PROOF OF THAT.
Yes Prescott won the job by default he didn't outplay Tony Romo he played so well that Tony Romo being banged up and at the end of his career couldn't get back on the field and that's fine with me but don't say outplayed Tony Romo no way shape or form did he outplay him you just couldn't make that change at quarterback when Prescott is a rookie played that well you just had to go with it.. Do you need any proof that Eagles game late in that season in 2016 where Romo just comes off the bench and goes and just drives him down for an easy touchdown that's what it would have looked like either way but I agreed with the decision because you can't pull a guy off the field for team chemistry that's one 11 games in a row 13 games as a rookie but in no way shape or form is he a better quarterback than Tony Romo outright... Romo had better command of the pocket he moved better in the pocket with his eyes downfield more so his pocket presence in a tie I would take a prime Tony Romo over a prime Prescott but barely I mean it it is very close,.

And that’s say a lot. There was absolutely no reason to make this trade at this time in the year for another QB. He’s probably not going to play at all this season. All it does is create QB controversy with the haters who actually believe that he’s better than Dak. And what’s worse, MM had no idea about the trade until it was already done. Dumb move by the ownership. Just horrible timing right before the season opener.
Worst move by who's standards....yours lol seems fine to me

Jerry said he'd drafted Jalen Hurts if he was available couple of years ago.
So, I'm thinking maybe Jalen Hurts isn't that good after all, but that doesn't change who I think is better between Hurts and Prescott.

I see.

You're surprised?

Although, it shouldn't be controversial. Dak is the starter. Cooper is behind him. Nothing Lance does this season is going to change that. I expect them to put Trey Lance on ice for a season and give him the opportunity to learn behind two veterans.
I think the part of this post that says “nothing is going to change that” might be a bit off, but I agree with the rest of your post.

"I think it's great for Dallas to add talent to the roster at every position, including QB. Lance has a lot of talent and I welcome the chance to work with him so that we can learn things from one another." That would have been a quality reply as opposed to the one Dak gave but his reply is insightful.

Dak's reply reminds me of the loss to SF in the playoffs in 2021 when fans threw things at the refs and Dak, after the game, in essence, celebrated that behavior because he felt slighted by the refs....now he feels slighted and his insecure, petulant side showed itself.

This season Dak will either play his best football and earn an extension or he will fold under the pressure and then JJ & Co. have a major decision to make.
The only part of your comments that Im not sure about is Lance being talented and if he is talented, why couldn’t Shanahan develop him?

The one comment that Michael Irvin said that gives me hope is that perhaps the Niners offense is too complex for Lance to master and that he has a better chance of grasping the Cowboys simplified offense.

It would be one of the best trades in history if Lance was able to develop into a difference maker at the Qb position by just giving up a 4th round draft pick.

we already have a 4th round quarterback but he is NOT a difference maker so far

it's the best move ever if you like to watch the sensitive dak lovers squirm and cry. I'm loving it.

Once I saw the name, the thread made sense.

I couldn’t disagree more. If it does nothing but light a fire under #4 and give us some leverage with Dak’s contract negotiations, it will be well worth the 4th round pick.
