Okay. That isn't what Jerry values most.
Give me an example of Jerry ever doing this then.

I could but what's the point? Lance is a project QB. In a couple of years he might be ready to play. If so let's see what he can do. If not, cut him and move on. This trade is a low risk and high reward. Lance cost was a day 3 pick which Jerry loves. He got 2 starting QB's without spending much. Here is a chance to add a talent for the same low cost.Okay.

I just want 1 example of Jerry trading picks for someone he has no interest in playing.I could but what's the point? Lance is a project QB. In a couple of years he might be ready to play. I wouldn't go as far as saying we have two starting QBs. Lance is so far from being a competent starting QB.I could but what's the point? Lance is a project QB. Cowboys acquired John Kitna to be Romo's backup. So yes, they acquired a guy they had no real interest in playing.I just want 1 example of Jerry trading picks for someone he has no interest in playing.
That’s all.
He has played in 8 games in 2 years. A 3rd over all pick in the draft and hasn’t gotten much time. I know he was injured.I wouldn't go as far as saying we have two starting QBs. Lance is so far from being a competent starting QB.
But the risk is minimal here.
It’s more than just the media. It’s the fracture this caused in the locker room which includes the coaches. They were all blindsided by this right as the regular season gets underway. If players and coaches are concerning themselves with media this team is lost. That stuff is for fans. If a team can be brought down by media, it's a soft team.
I've been right about Dak since 2016 as the Dak era is a total flop.Their biggest fear isn't even that Dak loses his job. Their biggest fear is that YOU would end up being correct.
If MM and Dak are really bothered by this, then this franchise has bigger problems than Trey Lance as our 3rd QB.This will go down as the worst move Jerry has ever done. What a downer for the coaches going into the season when optimism was high. Grier deserved to be QB3 over Lance. You could tell how upset MM and Dak were with the news.
Sometimes opportunity arises at an inconvenient time or a less convenient time but it’s such a good opportunity you take the shot. If that isn’t to take a competition then what is heAnd that’s say a lot. There was absolutely no reason to make this trade at this time in the year for another QB. He’s probably not going to play at all this season. All it does is create QB controversy with the haters who actually believe that he’s better than Dak. And what’s worse, MM had no idea about the trade until it was already done. Dumb move by the ownership. Just horrible timing right before the season opener.
They’re human, of course they’re bothered by it. Did you see Griers interview after the game?If MM and Dak are really bothered by this, then this franchise has bigger problems than Trey Lance as our 3rd QB.

You’re mentally incapable to grasp the point obviously.Yeah.
So what?
Guys get cut. Guys get replaced by other players acquired by trade/FA. We are talking about a 3rd QB here. Again, if this franchise can't handle Lance's acquisition and it creates some sort of tension, they aren't a real contender.
Bryce Young does not have a great arm. Goff also.Other then Matt Jones with the Patriots, when was the last time a noodle arm QB was drafted in the first round. Folks want cannons.
WHAT????? He plays worst when the pressure is on. Look-up his playoff record.I like the trade. 4th round pick for a 22 year old QB that was picked number 3 overall is a good risk that could pay off.
He has the talent, just needs development. 49ers seem like a bunch of drama between getting office and coaches about taking Lance and just wasn't a good situation.
Here, Lance can sit and develop without any pressure.
As far as QB controversy is concern, I think it's silly. Nobody in their right mind thinks Lance will take Daks spot. It does put pressure on Dak to perform and he seems to play his best when he has competition
Other than 49ers Dak is actually a really good playoff QB....... Record by the way is a team accomplishment not a single playerWHAT????? He plays worst when the pressure is on. Look-up his playoff record.
You're really scared Dak is done, aren't you? This will go down as the worst move Jerry has ever done. What a downer for the coaches going into the season when optimism was high. Grier deserved to be QB3 over Lance. You could tell how upset MM and Dak were with the news.
