Tropical Storm / Hurricane Harvey

Well guys, this will be my last post for a few days...

I'm part of the hurricane ride out crew for Citgo here in Corpus Christi. I'll be fighting to keep catastrophy from happening at their plant, which has docks in the surge area of the storm. We will be fighting to keep explosions and real disaster from expanding via the plant. We'll give it our all!

Our love with all of you...

This is shaping up to be some storm, stay safe!

Well, I am seriously concerned for my house down there. The people who I am renting it out to forgot to drain half the pool for excess water before they left. It is real close to a creek which is notorious for flooding :(

This might turn out to be worse than Katrina if it does indeed crawl up the coast towards La. Stay safe everyone down there!

Waves are starting to pick up a good bit. Clouds are getting heavier by the minute it seems. Still have satellite signal for now, but the provider already called and said they are evacuating! lol Fun part hasn't even begun. :)

The hurricane has officially made landfall. They had to wait until the center of the eye crossed land to declare it. It went in just north of Rockport, between there and Port O'Conner. The national wildlife reserve right there is going to get destroyed along with the rest of the area. So tragic. I sure hope all the people got out. :(

All of my friends are having hurricane parties tonight, kind of miss those :grin:

A report from League City(my sisters house) has intervals of heavy rain but no flooding yet. Houston will escape the worst if this thing stays to the SW.

My wife flies out tomorrow to SA(or wherever they can land) to work in a hospital for emergency help. That will give Dexter about 5-days wifey free to do whatever I want! :flagwave: :thumbup:

Wow, Dexter. I have a sister who lives in League City, too. How cool. :)

Props to your lovely wife for going to help those in need during all this nightmare. Everyone who is coming from far away to help deserves medals. I know yall are from here, but she is coming a great distance and should be commended.

{and have fun during your "time" off, Dex.:D}

Small world. I have a home there too in South Shore Harbor.

She usually goes and works in all emergency situations. She was on a helicopter crew during Katrine rescuing ppl from rooftops and such. Kind of an air-triage :D
