The Giants were a 9-7 6th seed last SB they won. Got hot at the right time! That said, I don’t think we’re a contender.

Good point . And I’d add we were considered a contender heading into the season. The fact we don’t have our starting QB and OL are factors but if our backups are playing at a higher level than expected.. who knows.

The major difference I see in making such a comparison. Is Giants had a much better defense and a QB who had had success before in the playoffs. Those are two big factors we don’t have going for us.

I think it’s very likely if Dak was healthy he could have led us to 8 or 9 wins which could have easily won this awful division.

Correct. Also, Collin and Stephen A are known and in SA case admitted Cowboys trolls.

Troys open and unbiased criticism of our dysfunctional organization and on air antics is well known and respected around the league for its candid analysis.

And when he does have some constructive or positive thoughts it’s well received.

I can’t imagine any Cowboy fan liking Stephen A , the most notable and admitted Cowboys troll in the media. Collin has followed suit on some issues probably in order to incite responses and attract some of the same audience .

Sometimes it’s difficult at least on this site of anonymous members to distinguish between who are the fans and opposed fans posing as fans and or those simply trolling certain agendas.

When I’m discussing amongst my longtime family members and friends about the Cowboys we don’t have these petty interactions . Just saying...

It’s not the typical turn around . But when you consider where we were at 2-7, it is a turn around.

Most including myself didn’t see us winning many or any games at that point.

We could become the first 2-7 team to make the playoffs thanks to our division.

That Giants team was the worst scoring defense of any Super Bowl winner in history.. But here's the thing.. They gave up 11 ppg less per game in the playoffs than they had in the regular year. They gave up 25 ppg during the regular season.. then gave up 0, 20, 17 and 17 in the playoffs. So they went from 25th in the league in scoring defense to basically #1 .. starting the last two weeks of the season they gave up 14 each in those game. I don't think our defense is doing that. It would ne nice.. but.....

Hey a man can dream.. I mean we've seen that the defense is at least capable of forcing more than one or two punts a game like it was early on. I know we can't go back and replay any of those games but it would have been interesting to see what the outcome of those early games would have been had the defense been playing like this all along.. But of course those were also a lot better teams.. But then there was that stout performance against the Steelers.. So they have not JUST done it against bottom feeders..

i long ago tired of hearing aikman's boring tirades. from being overly critical of players, to dak wasn't accurate and it couldn't be taught, to his rants about jerry, and on and on. he's been auditioning for a gm job or a few years now. seems no one is interested. i wish aikman would just shut up.

I hate it when he calls our games. I've learned to tune him out, but for the longest time it seems he bent over backward trying to not praise the Cowboys for ANYthing. It was embarrassing.
