Is it oochie wally or one mic?

I remember this. Yeah, sure, Dak isn’t THE problem in Dallas. That’s Jerry Jones.

That doesn’t mean Dak isn’t A problem in Dallas, especially now with his unmerited salary, which takes away from Jimmy’s assessment about surrounding him with talent to go further in the playoffs.

Jimmy saying whether you like him or not he is the QB in Dallas isn’t some positive valuation of him in Jimmy’s eyes.

The issue with the last 2 Prescott contracts is Dak hasn’t been willing to help out the Cowboys in anyway. Coming off of the MVP type season last year I was hoping for a contract like Burrows or the contract Lawrence just signed with the flexibility of the 5 years. It puts us in a situation where everything else (draft, free agency and resigning are own) has to be perfect and we have missed on most, with the exception of the draft. Not naming certain Michigan players.

I know most of this board are in the Dak sucks column but I disagree with how easy you think it is to find a replacement. Maybe it would have been better to let him walk but the idea of a Sanders or Ward coming in and lighting it up with these weapons and offensive line is not realistic. I just remember how everyone thought the QB class of 2021 was unbelievable. No GM would take any of those QBs over Prescott coming into this year.

I’m more upset about the contracts over the years given to Elliott, Gallup and Steele. 2 coming off of ACL tears. Why is are front office always the last to sign key players by doing so setting market or missing the mark with trying to get a small bargain with players coming off injury. Looking at the salary cap, do we have any value contracts with the exception of rookie contracts? Out of the top 10 hits on the cap, only 2 have done anything all year (Parsons and Lamb).

The failures of this year are immense and have been building with bad organization decisions for multiple years. But even with these struggles we aren’t in a position to be drafting a franchise QB in a draft that doesn’t have one. That’s the issue, this team probably has two much talent to suck so bad to get one of the top picks. Think about this season, going into it we knew the offensive of line was a question mark with 2 rookies starting. We probably had the worst position group in RBs and DTs. Then injuries took away the top 4 DEs, lost an all pro CB, the other has been injured and allergic to contact. Martin has been a shell of himself, Prescott gone. Not much else could have gone wrong and the best draft position was 9. I don’t want to make a Carolina like trade to mortgage the entire future for an unproven QB. Unfortunately we might be in NFL purgatory!

How did Jimmy Johnson do in Miami when he didn't have the best QB, best weapons, best Oline and best Defense to assist that QB?

Here. I will help refresh your brain:

Head Coach - Miami Dolphins:

1996: 8 - 8 record: 0 playoffs
1997: 9 - 7 record: 0 wins - 1 loss playoffs
1998: 10 - 6 record: 1 win - 1 loss playoffs
1999: 9 - 7 record: 1 win - 1 loss playoffs
2000: RETIRED

Jimmy proved that without the best QB, the best Oline, the best WRs, the best RB and the best Defense, he couldn't reach a Super Bowl, much less win one.

I rest my case.
Deflect, deflect, deflect. This thread is about Dak. Keep up.

It was, quite literally, one of the dumbest contracts I’ve ever seen in professional football. I couldn’t believe they actually did it, and, that they felt the need to wait until NFL opening day to pull the trigger. It made no sense then, and it makes no sense now. This deal is going to cripple the team for years to come, making it incredibly hard to have any kind of positive outlook for the foreseeable future.

I was being facetious for s and giggles- if your looking for other gms to be complimentary of dak there’s plenty, as there are who’ve criticized him..,,that proves what again?

But also hate to break it to you but in the scenario the poster brought up where a rival teams gm says he’d love to have dak as his teams franchise quarterback that’s tampering. You cant comment publicly on a player who’s under contract and plays a position that you have on your team already.

You can say generic things likes he’s really talented or he’s a great player but you can’t say I’d love to have him as my franchise qb - which is what the poster said lol
I don't think so. What makes you think they'd call that tampering?
