They probably draft a LT in the first round of next years draft and move Guyton to RT.

If he wasn’t a bust it wouldn’t matter anyways.

Tyron Smith was all pro every year. It didn’t matter.

I said all this before the draft.

Stop wasting 1st round picks on offensive lineman when you don’t have a legit QB, RB, TE, or #2 WR.

I need 6

It’s early I know but TG has all the traits of a bust. It seems like all the negatives coming out of college were true and he brought them all to the NFL. Mentally he is weak and immature and that will never work in the NFL at tackle. I haven’t given up on Mazi but Guyton looks like a big mistake.

Talk me down.
The offensive line coach Solari is not good at all. Guyton will be with an offseason to get stronger. His main weakness is he lacks power to handle inside moves from powerful rushers. He is a rookie playing a new position. He played right tackle in college mostly.

He played 72 snaps at LT in college. 8 OTs were taken before him. He was a project from Day 1.

He needs to be moved back to right tackle... They will almost assuredly cut Steele this upcoming offseason because he's absolute TRASH.

He needs a better OL coach and to move to RT

He was always a developmental player. That’s why they should’ve brought Tyron back to teach him

Given up. Guy was overrated at Ou.

It may be too early to call him a total bust. But for a first round draft pick, he has failed to show that he was worth that pick. If he was a third rounder I would give him more slack. Another reach by the genius GM.

Hard to say just yet. We knew he needed work coming out of college. And getting thrown into the fire starting at LT isn't easy. He will be much better next year after a full off season. It's possible the Cowboys move him to the right side and slide Tyler over. It's just far to early to say he will be a bust. He's shown the ability to play in this league. That's a good start.
Since the injury-bargain-contract right tackle continues to under perform I'm hoping they can make something out of Guyton on the right side too,,,, a top 10 pick left tackle in the draft would be great unless there's a promising QB available. Supposedly this QB draft class is crap (of course) so hopefully there's help for the trenches coming.

It’s wackey that they traded down and risked losing him then trusted him on the blindside for 17 games.

Two rookies playing new positions on the most important positions on the line

There’s also an argument that e cowboys are doing him a disservice and might ruin his confidence and passion for football with a season like this

I think he needs to take Steele's spot and Jerry should draft a LT with the premium pick coming our way. LT is one of the hardest positions in football to find. Giant men with quick feet tend to play basketball not football. We also have to replace Zach Martin most likely.

That’s my issue with Guyton. He appears mentally soft and doesn’t care.

Thats my perspective from practice and games. But I am no coach or behind the scenes

No, he's not. Guyton wins a majority of his snaps. He simply needs time and experience to get better.
Guyton played well his last three games he played. The Cowboys issue to me is coaching. The offensive line coach is garbage. Jerry needs to pay to money for assistant coaches ok next years staff. Stop being cheap. Pay for the best coaches. See Eagles………

Trade down, draft Kelvin Banks. Cut Steele, sign a vet like Kevin Zietler.

LT - Banks
LG - Tyler Smith
C - Cooper Beebe
RG - Zietler
RT - Guyton
