Tyrone Crawford has not logged a stat in 3 games

He hasn't been the same since he limped off the field in the 2nd Qtr a few games back.. Everybody got banged up early this year but better early than late.

December and January will be ours...

He's a good solid player... But I think we made a big mistake giving him 9 mill a year.

This is not a 9 mill a year player we've seen so far.

Wait, wait, wait !!! Where are you lets lock this guy down people at? Now you guys ready to throw dirt at him? Lol!!!! I been express the fact we over paid for him.

3 games played, 136 snaps, 0 tackles, 0 sacks, 0 passes defended.

For the guy who is playing the vaunted 3-technique, the position that is set up most to thrive in this scheme, this is simply unacceptable.

Why does everyone think stats are the be all end all?

well yea, but this was gonna be a dedication and specific screaming. not just the random stuff i do.

and this month, i wear pink while doing it. :)

Kudos to both you and your commitment to the cause sir!

We salute you!

Shows how deceptive stats can be. PFF ranked Crawford their #1 DT last week. I think he had 6 QB pressures.

@jonmachota: According to @PFF, Tyrone Crawford led all NFL DTs this week in Pass Rushing Productivity at +13.6. He had 6 hurries on 33 pass rush snaps

And that's why pff shouldn't be used as a basis to show how well someone played, ever again. He has been a monumental let down

You are right that stats don't tell the entire story, however:

I can guarantee you with 100% certainty that if your entire defense ends games with 0 sacks, 0 solo tackles, 0 assisted tackles, 0 passes defensed, and 0 interceptions they are probably not performing well.

I tend to agree with PFF, but go back and watch the game, Crawford did actually get pressure on Brees.

Note, I am not suggesting he's great or worth his new contract, but he's played better than people give him credit for.

Additionally, I suspect he'd look a lot better if he had a real DT playing next to him. But that's just me.

look at suh hes been basic as can be without his boy Nick next to him

Lawrence and or the strong side backer have to get control of the edge. Teams are running outside him and he's not containing anything. teams aren't running right up the gut against us for the most part. They are taking advantage of Lawrence, they aren't blowing him off the ball they are trapping him inside and running outside. I'd put Hardy there and leave Mince at RE then bring dlaw in on passing downs.

He is really missing Hardy and Gregory. The offensive line has been doubling him up with no consequence. Terrell McClain was also a big loss. When they doubled Crawford, McClain was getting major penetration. We really a better 1 technique player next to him.

How is Hatcher doing in Washington? I thought at the time our money would of been well spent with him. Crawford I always liked, but not for a big paycheck.

and what good would panicing do? if it will help i'll run around the office and scream some. will it help crawfords "stats"?

Yeah, totally. Run around like a clueless lunatic until your boss asks you to leave and you will be stunned by what happens Sunday. Trust me, have I ever lead you astray?

I'm not shocked. No one is really doing anything on the edges. I think his production goes up with the return of Hardy.

I agree Hardy will focus the opposing Oline and leave Crawford to bring the hammer that he owns to a single block.

lol. That's pretty obvious. Thanks.

Buts stats in the box score is all that matters
QB pressures mean nothing because they don't show up on the stat line
I thought we all knew that
