Yeah. You're right. Crawford is a bust. We should cut him.

That seems a bit extreme to me...

There are varying degrees of middle ground between All-Pro and JAG. Clearly Crawford is somewhere in that band.

Shows how deceptive stats can be. PFF ranked Crawford their #1 DT last week. I think he had 6 QB pressures.

@jonmachota: According to @PFF, Tyrone Crawford led all NFL DTs this week in Pass Rushing Productivity at +13.6. He had 6 hurries on 33 pass rush snaps

PFF had Aaron Rogers number 18 ranked for the week of the KC where he had like 5 TDs. So my opinion of PFF took just the "tinyest" hit on that one.

I have never seen the guy more than flash, so I never understood the rush to pay him. Said at the time the should have waited.

it was a giant came several years ago that we won and Romo had better stats then Eli in all areas and yet PFF claimed Eli played better. That was when I knew PFF's evaluations were full of garbage.

Agree.....Being a former BSU Alum I never got this move why they moved him there (to the 3 Tech) to begin with. First Crawford was over drafted.....Next... over paid.....And now people are shocked that he isn't producing @ a position he never played in college. Only in Dallas will this absurdity continue to flurish. Should have left him @ LDE. Won't be shocked to see him get moved backed there....and he platoons w/ Lawrence. Except....Cowboys will find a way to screw that up as well. Probably continue to start Lawrence on 1st down.....then bring in Crawford on obvious passing downs. o_O

Pure b.s. The guy was very good last year the 3-tech and he has been better than what people are portraying this year. The stat sheet will fill up soon with Hardy and Gregory added to the mix.

he is neither as bad as some claim nor as good as you think. He has underperformed like most of the D has so far this year. And to be blunt most of the team so far this year.

look at suh hes been basic as can be without his boy Nick next to him

My guess is no one on the Phins were giving it their all.
Not sure what's wrong with Suh, but the rest of the guys had grown tired of Coyle IMO

FYI Floaty is a good troll.
Gotta take what he posts with a huge grain of salt.

PFF's number try to reflect context, which is something you don't see on the Stat page of NFL.com. Their system isn't perfect, but it's a useful datapoint.

I think a lot of the PFF hate comes when people see whatever that final number is and compare it to what NFL.com says, they have a really hard time (at times) reconciling the two.

That's why you don't just look at stats and actually watched the damn game. Because of a lack of an outside rush other than D-Law teams can just double Crawford. Dallas desperately needs to get Hardy and Gregory back. All the attention those guys will recieve and teams will have to block TC one on one. He's still gotten pressure on occasion. Hasn't been great against the run, but still has gotten some penetration. Hardy is great against the run so he'll be able to contain the edge and force backs back inside which will help Crawford a lot as well.

Fins are playing Suh at NT and only having him 1 gap on passing downs. Crazy paying him all that money but not letting him do what he does best. Shades of Haynesworth to the Skins. Suh, just like Murray, should have gotten assurances about scheme fit and role before being blinded by the green.

He is a much better 3-tech than LDE.

But by all means you should email Rod with your findings....

How much of that comes from being so depleted from injuries and having to play too many snaps
It's not too hard to defend against one pass rusher
Let's see what the defense and Crawford look like when get some talent on the field and the ability of rotating players to keep them fresh

Wow, folks. Open your eyes. Crawford is playing really well.

Stats are often meaningless.
