OH and as to who needs who more that isn't even close.

Rousey is a millionaire with endorsement deals and movie offers galore.
She can retire at any point she desires and go down as the first great female UFC champ.

Cyborg is chasing her but has to beat the champ on the champ's terms to take her spot.

The UFC won't agree to a catch weight fight because they aren't going to risk losing Ronda(or Ronda losing) without a replacement.
If Cyborg can't make 135 she has no place to fight in the UFC.
DW doesn't think there are enough women at 145 to make a division.

There isn't enough at 135.

Cyborg has tried to get her to fight at 140 but Rousey won't budge.

She's running.. As she should.

There is no proof she is running. Ronda is the champ and the fight will be on her terms. If Cyborg wants the belt then she should go get it.

Pretty sure Cyborg doesn't want the belt. She just wants to fight Rousey.

I doubt she would ever want to have to fight at 135 again after fighting Rousey.

Cyborg is trying to make this happen for the fans.

If Rousey was as tough as she claims she would just accept the 140 catch. Instead she'll just challenge men..

***Ronda on the other hand (who runs her mouth at cyborg just as much as cyborg tries to hype this fight by the way) , has competed at 145 and 150 for most of her life in Judo*** So how come she can't fight cyborg at even 140?

....but she won't fight Cyborg at nothing other than 135 *rolls eyes*

UFC won't allow her to fight at 145 since there isn't a weight class for that weight. At least that is what the talking heads said this morning on ESPN.

Ronda and Cyborg both have the same problem, there is nobody else in their respective weight classes. The talent pool is simply too shallow, Bethe is not in the same league as Ronda anywhere. She didn't even look good against Shayna Baszler, even though she won via knockout. Now we have to see Ronda beat up on Meisha Tate again. And although Catch came away from TUF disliking Ronda, I came away abhorring Tate. She's a typical fake ***** who will smile and act nice to someone's face and then do things behind their back. She has a reprehensible personality. At least with Ronda what you see is what you get, Meisha is a manipulative, conniving, back stabber who gets by on being marginally less ugly than most female fighters and having a great arse. But as much as I dislike her I still don't want to see Ronda beat her up again, because it's old and boring. Tate has no way to win the fight, she's simply not in the same class as Ronda physically or mentally.

And Cyborg has to go fight in Muay Thai (against a champion) for a challenge because she's a beast and she'll simply physically overwhelm anyone she faces.

And I think Ronda is avoiding the fight with Cyborg, but not out of fear. I think she probably doesn't want to fight her because she knows it will be a HUGE PPV hit and both of them will make a ton of money. But Ronda will make a ton of money anyway, and I think maybe she doesn't want Cyborg to cash in. There is a lot of animosity there.

You sound about 12.
Either that or so in fan boy mode you've lost all perspective.

Ronda Rousey has fought all comers in the UFC at 135.
She's never even been close to losing.
She is simply dominating having gone out of the first round only once.

Ronda's best wins are Miesha, Cat, McMann and possibly Correia who came in undefeated.
Cyborg has beaten absolutely no one of real note and no one as strong as those above.
Her best win is Coenen who has lost to Miesha and can't stick in the UFC.
Coenen could actually take Cyborg down in those fights and even threatened with submissions.

The biggest "fight" of Cyborg's career is the K1 style fight she lost to Jorina.

Ronda isn't running from anyone.
Cyborg has to get in the UFC and stay off suspension for it to matter.
Ronda can't just fight whomever she wants.

If Cyborg can make 140 she can make 135. It is a lifestyle change she has to want to endure and she doesn't.
But make no mistake it is Cyborg who is desperate there are no big money women's fights outside the UFC.
She can't get a win over a UFC quality opponent because they are all there.
So she can beat up tomato cans the UFC cut or didn't want and celebrate beating Carano forever ago.

I hope Cyborg agrees to the drop because it will be a very interesting fight.
Tho great puncher versus great ground game fighter usually ends up one-sided for the wrestler types.
Simply hard to punch on your back or pinned against a cage.

Ronda won't fight Cyborg at 140 because like Jose Aldo, Cyborg is a steroid abuser. If she wants to fight the champ she has to do like everybody else. Make the weight, pass the tests and then get wrecked.

All Cyborg has is a puncher's chance in that fight. When it goes to the ground, it will be laughably one sided.

LOL. How exactly do you "run" from somebody by staying where you are as the champion?

Mayweather ducked Pac Mac for a long time. You could argue that Manny left his prime in that time. I'm not saying Rousey is doing that, but she could be starting it now she's fighting Tate for a third time.

When was the last time that happened, where it was a chapter 3 not being a rubber match? Can't think of one.

Because there isn't a better option out there. She's beaten everyone highly ranked. Cyborg isn't an option because she's not in the weight class. Ronda doesn't book her fights.

I've never seen a fighter claim a champion in another weight class is ducking them.

I tend to agree with Ronda. If you can make 145 on the sauce, you can make 135 without it. If you want a shot at the champion, you go to them. They don't come to you.

You guys crack me up.

Miesha is a sweet heart who gets by on working harder than anyone else and displaying a huge heart each fight.
Her issue is natural talent. She is short of it.
She's not fake at all but is obviously trying to be image conscious as it is her career.
On the show she was insanely loyal to her team and it showed.

I met her at a Strikeforce fight and she was very gracious to a large crowd taking pictures in between each fights and signing autographs.
Most of the fighters didn't want to be bothered.

Miesha has improved since the last fight but so has Ronda so yea probably not a much different outcome.

Ronda is running out of opponents because none exist.
Same as with Jon Jones, Anderson Silva and GSP if you beat everyone that happens.
Cyborg has no opponents anywhere because the best women's fighters are in the UFC.

Cyborg needs to simply make weight at 135 and fight in the UFC.
She can fight Miesha, Bethe or Zingano to prove she can make weight and belongs.
It'd be the biggest payday she's ever had and lead to Rousey and an even bigger payday obviously.

Cyborg fights kick boxing because it is her specialty. She's a female Shogun Rua. She doesn't want to fight wrestlers and never has. (unless you wanna consider the 10 loss Akano a "wrestler").

She fought Jorina in Las Vegas in a K1 battle and lost. It wasn't Muay Thai rules or her traveling to fight in the Netherlands.

The talent pool isn't that bad at 135 in the UFC. Tate, Zingano, McMann, Kaufman....these are all top level fighters. Ronda is just several levels above them. She makes the division look like it's thin.

That's simply goofy.
It's like saying the Lakers dodge'd Kentucky.

Ronda is under contract to an organization and has to fight whom they put in front of her.
Cyborg has been invited in if she agrees to fight and make weight at 135 for Invicta.
She stated a couple different times now she would then scrapped those plans and cried it was too hard.
Who exactly is running?

Are you boy geniuses really suggesting Rousey should leave the UFC to go fight Invicta for ONE fight???
Good lord help the logic.

The only way the fight occurs (in the near future) is for Cyborg to get in the UFC.
It would make her millions in all likelihood so why hasn't she done it?
She's had 4 years to drop 10 freaking pounds.

I agree and have said Ronda is not running from Cyborg. If you want to beat the champ then you have to fight them on their terms. Really simple as that. Can Cyborg drop enough weight in a healthy manner while maintaining strength and endurance? There is a new rule fighters cannot use IVs after weigh in to get fluids back in the body.
