-Stiletto

homer: (n) An apologist, fanatic, and staunch defender with kamikaze-like loyalty. Simply put, a homer is fan of a team or player who is so ardently attached, he/she has lost all objectivity. They defend anything and everything the team or player does, and they'll act on every opportunity to flame or disrespect rivals.

Ex: The Duck's fans are the ultimate homers. They bash the Kings as being on a lucky streak, when actually the Kings made all the right moves to be successful.

I get it now. Stiletto is one of those stupid Jim Rome clones.

Dude, you think listening to smack talk on the radio gives you game?

You are probably just sore that Rome cut off your phone call after only 5 seconds -- all that after being on hold for nearly three hours.

you didn't respond to my question.... I'm not weaseling out...... Why are you so disgruntled?

LOL - I guess blind Homers just drive me crazy. It's not rational to just sit there and agree with everything the "institution" does. The pom-pom waving is annoying.

just as it's not rational to disagree all the time and think that's right either. the constant bashing gets annoying also.

Is it really bashing or just saying what they really are?? Everyone knows what a homer is by definition and some even admit to being one...dont see why it's bashing or offensive unless you feel like thats what you are, not sure...

LOL. Nah seems like we got plenty here that can fill that role. I love his PC's and I love Iman's re-caps when I can't listen. He does a nice job.

Tell me what I said that leads you to believe I'm a homer???? I don't agree with everything Parcells does. Some of his decisions make me very angry... example... running the ball three times inside the 5 yard line... there does that make you feel better??

according to your profile you are 30 years old... you need to mature a little (well, a lot)..... name calling is for school age children....

finally, can you change what the "institution" (Dallas Cowboys) is doing???? Flaming people on a message board does nothing to change the mind of coaches, owners, players, etc. Chill out before you blow a gasket.....

Yup another Bill blunder. He is so stubborn it is ridiculous...

Do us all a favor, and **** with that garbage; I still remember VERY clearly how the Cowboys seemed to have half the team on IR by this point in the season, but since Parcells has come to town, that kind of thing has diminished greatly...

Yeah, he pushes his players to get back on the field... isn't that his JOB??

So again, you make yourself look foolish when you criticize the guy for doing his job...

I swear to God, if I was like some of you guys, I'd be blaming Parcells for the lousy weather today...

you guys are getting out of control, think how many people are laughing at this thread, its getting a bit rediculous.

anyway, i wonder if roshi is going to want to keep giving recaps, think we members have been a little spoiled by him and the expectation that he will do this everyday, sometimes it almost seems as if people are treating it like it is his job to do this for us.

I don't think I called you a homer... it seems to me the only flaming comes around here when you disagree with something Big Bill does... lol

The guy had a slightly torn groin muscle. That takes 4-6 weeks to heal. He should not have played in Detroit, had he not it would've probably been 100% for this game, now it is becomming obvious we wont see Henry for awhile. i think you can pretty much count on it the way it sounds.

Paging Dr. Little... Dr. Chicken Little...

Thank you for that diagnosis, Doc...
