May be a reach, but Parcells was still consulting with Jerry during the coaching search. So he may have *chatted* with Jerry about Garrett.

Or it could be a poorly worded attempt to connect any potential hires to Miami.

I don't think " Red " will come down here, but another scenario just occurred to me right now.

Say the Giants fire Tom Coughlin after this season. Well, Coughlin would be the perfect match for the Dullphins rebuilding team because of his " military " rules style and he is one of the so called Parcells' guy.

Now the Giants gig becomes available and that's a VERY attractive situation for somebody like " Red ". A young QB, a solid O-line, solid set of RBs, a big play WR, a big play TE, nice defense with a young coordinator who's making strides...

That, and perhaps Carolina, would be the biggest threat for the Cowboys.
