Do the right thing Miami. My wife needs something to cheer for. Who better than the greatest head coach and team builder of our era to make that happen for them?
IF BP goes to Miami, is Darren McFadden a "Tuna-type of RB?" Would BP take him as #1 overall or trade down for multiple picks?

well, i am hoping that the miami dolphins owner talks him into being the head coach, that way we get a draft pick, since parcells is still under contract through this year,

I'd imagine that if anything were done, they would not do it till after the Season. I don't know that we would get any compensation for that.

If BP is running the Dolphins, I expect them to trade down.

Guarantee you he wouldn't. He's talked many times about how running backs only last four years on average, and that's not worth it for such a high pick and so much money. That's one reason he favored Mario Williams over Reggie Bush. (Though he sees Bush as a "specialty player" -- surely he sees McFadden as more of a full time back.)

That's why I also wonder if Belichick or Magini would take McFadden. Belichick thinks for himself more these days, so maybe. But I know Mangini is a big Tuna disciple.

I honestly think the team that gets McFadden will trade up to get him and they will be instant contenders (Maybe even SB if right situation)

I live right down the street from Huizenga,i would post notes on the gate
to send #1 pick to Jerry.:)

Former NFL coach Bill Parcells, who rejected an offer Wednesday to become head of football operations with the Atlanta Falcons, is expected to join the Miami Dolphins’ front office, a source close to Parcells told Yahoo! Sports.

Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga, who had contacted Parcells in recent weeks, made Parcells a more attractive offer to become Miami’s head of football operations, according to the source. A second source also indicated that the process is moving along.

Parcells has long admired Huizenga and the Dolphins organization. Parcells also maintains a home in South Florida, where he enjoys watching baseball, playing golf, and following horse racing.

Maybe so, especially the way Peterson has impacted his team.

And don't get me wrong, there's no bigger Run DMC fan than me. I'm just saying what Parcells has repeated many times on his Friday night show with Mort. :)

Heck, part of the reason that average career is short is that someone better comes along, and you could say that for any position. That obviously doesn't mean that the LTs and Larry Johnsons of the world can only play for a few years.

Oh yeah I would fully expect Parcells to trade down and begin rebuilding Miami's defense. I expect him to rebuild Miami's offense with veterans.

He's under contract for this season. If Miami hired him as HC it would be for next season (and wouldn't be done till after the season) so we'd get nothing in return.

I would prefer Parcells goes to Washington or NY. Everyone here is making him sound like some saint forgetting how quick we wanted him run out of town.

ESPN reports Bill Parcells will sign a four-year contract to become the Dolphins' vice president of football operations.

Owner Wayne Huizenga reportedly is no longer interested in selling the franchise, which was a big development for the Tuna. Parcells may have been using the Falcons to up his price tag with Miami or increase control. He is likely to be making final personnel decisions, so don't look for a veteran name in the GM spot. High profile coordinators with Parcells connections include Patriots OC Josh McDaniels, Cowboys OC Jason Garrett, and Falcons DC Mike Zimmer.

Are the Falcons on a losing streak or what? But that's what happens when you dance with the ultimate carpetbagger.

What's this "We" crap? I didn't want him run out.

And someone here (YOU) is forgetting how horrible the team was before BP took over.

What connection does BP have to Garrett? Oh that's right, there is no connection.
