its like randy white said today, its all about sacrifice, and that starts in offseasoning conditioning
then you will know whom wants to win or not
those that dont show up and practice with the team, that person isnt a team player
you have to practice with the players to get to know them, the changes from previous years
if like a certain player or two, and i am giving examples here
say one player doent come in and work out with his teammates, or learn the game plan that were changed on defense and offense, but goes off on a vacation, then that person isnt a team player period
or if a player has a event planned in new york when you have OTAs scheduled, then that person isnt a team player,
those are aimed at 2 particular players, and one of them i like
but you have to put the team first, if you want to win a championship and a superbowl, the team comes first, you work out with your teammates to get to know each other tendicies, reactions, so you can help each other
another player that goes and works out in another state, isnt a team player, and i still think highly of that person that wasnt under contract, but at that time, that person wasnt a team player
if roger staubach at times wasnt under contract, and can come in, work out early and late with players, even roger staubach would stay late in the offseason and threw balls with drew pearson whom was a rookie at the time
in time, that payed off, the extra time roger spent with drew after practice
you build team chemistry working with players after practice, meeting at cafes discussing issues, etc during the offseason
that take sacrifice, something that some of these players have no concept about team chemistry
