Yeah, as a team DIVIDED (which T.O. divided, by the way), but a team nonetheless. "a TEAM...."...WHATEVER!
Owens divided the "TEAM" in the 2007 season? I don't recall that happening but feel free to make more things up.

As far as T O, think about this, why does your star WR have to get onto the offensive lnemen by himself.

When an offensive linemen like Flozell Adams says, I played a good game, while the other other offensive linemen all said they stunk the place up in the arizona game, Then there is where the problem lies.

Why wasnt the star QB getting onto the offensive linemen, why wasnt the star QB getting with the offensive cooordinator on the sideline in that arizona game and looking at film. ON one series, a cowboy coach was trying to show romo a picture, and romo pushed it away and went and sat on the bench by himself. While T O was trying to pump the players up to play better.

Thats whats wrong with this team, not enough leaders on this team that hold themselves accountable and their teammates,

I still think Denver, New Orleans, Washington, and Jacksonville would take a chance on TO.

When we win the SB with him... he will say the following first:
  1. I want to thank Jerry for the opportunity
  2. I want to thank Coach Wade for respecting us and letting us do our thing
  3. I want to thank Coach Garrett for drawing up a great offensive game plan
  4. I want to thank Tony Romo, "he's my boy"
  5. And most of all, "I want to thank the fans of Dallas" - I wanted to help this team win a SB and WE did.
Yes. I believe that.
His comments after victories speak for themselves.

Soon followed with, "I loves me some me!"

Ok. So you are sealing the Cowboys fate for the next three years. Got it!

No, I am not.

I just dont think he will play here again, let alone three years.

and wherever he goes they wont be a super bowl contender and if they are he will be sure to attack the highest authority and ruin the comraderie.

I'd like Jerry and Wade back Jason Garrett and let him coach.

I'd like Jason Garrett be allowed to gameplan against a teams weaknesses.

I'd like Tony Romo to implement that gameplan using all the weapons available.

I could care less if TOol is part of that gameplan.

:)

Raiders. Commanders. Chiefs. Lions. Just to name a few. If Owens doesn't get cut, you lose automatically. :D

I hear ya but there are a few questions that should accompany a statement like that.

Will his skills diminish as a 36 year old next season?

Will he run the correct routes?

Will he catch the ball when it hits him square in the hands and we need to move the chains?

Will he recognize coverages and adjust his routes CORRECTLY to give his QB an outlet on a blitz?

If he can do those things, he has already shown the ability to be an elite receiver.

Is that the one where he said "Throw me the ball & we win" & then the following week they throw him the ball & they won?

I agree, Terrell Owens doesn't like to lose but most athletes don't enjoy losing.

Furthermore, I never said anything negative about how Terrell Owens handles adversity.

What I stated was that if he indeed made those comments after the Super Bowl, it would not be a big deal because he would be having extreme success and most people say all the right things when they are having success.

You would be hard pressed to find any post where I stated that Terrell Owens was a "bad" guy on a personal level.

Well I didnt say you did but the implication was there in what you posted. Nevertheless, that doesnt matter.

Unless we go to the West Coast O he wont be used right. The west coast O would be perfect for Romo too.Romo isnt a Troy Aikman type.

I still dont understand why we dont atleeast implement "some" west coast offense plays... or is that "bad"?

I could live with that.

TO after a win.....

Reporter: "what do you think about next weeks game?"

TO: "throw me the ball and we win"

and the week after that = repeat.

I could DEFINITELY live with that... with players like that...

I think TO has to be part of the team not the team. The offense can't be all about him we have got to spread the ball around because the more players involved the harder it will be to stop the offense. Randy Moss for example in 2007 had some big game he also had games where he was not overly involved and the Pats went to other weapons. In Dallas there will be and have been games where TO is going to have big days but Dallas can't afford to have an offense that centers around TO it is too easy to take 1 player out of a game

Dude, this argument is so empty.

If every other Eagle would have played at the level T.O. played in their Super Bowl, .. they WOULD have WON the Super Bowl that day!

And it's not like the Niners nor the Eagles are stacking up Lombardi trophies since he left each team.

You just never have liked Owens, .. we get it.

I believe TO has played in one more superbowl than any other Cowboy....(except Hamlin?). And I believe that was during the current Cowboy 11 year playoff drought

I think TO is a good player my problem with him is when a team is going through a tough stretch he does not rally the troops he creates turmoil and he has to be more of a professional than that.

its like randy white said today, its all about sacrifice, and that starts in offseasoning conditioning

then you will know whom wants to win or not

those that dont show up and practice with the team, that person isnt a team player

you have to practice with the players to get to know them, the changes from previous years

if like a certain player or two, and i am giving examples here
say one player doent come in and work out with his teammates, or learn the game plan that were changed on defense and offense, but goes off on a vacation, then that person isnt a team player period

or if a player has a event planned in new york when you have OTAs scheduled, then that person isnt a team player,

those are aimed at 2 particular players, and one of them i like

but you have to put the team first, if you want to win a championship and a superbowl, the team comes first, you work out with your teammates to get to know each other tendicies, reactions, so you can help each other

another player that goes and works out in another state, isnt a team player, and i still think highly of that person that wasnt under contract, but at that time, that person wasnt a team player

if roger staubach at times wasnt under contract, and can come in, work out early and late with players, even roger staubach would stay late in the offseason and threw balls with drew pearson whom was a rookie at the time

in time, that payed off, the extra time roger spent with drew after practice

you build team chemistry working with players after practice, meeting at cafes discussing issues, etc during the offseason

that take sacrifice, something that some of these players have no concept about team chemistry

yeah we won cause of his whopping 2 catches. more like the "they need to throw me the ball more" after he got 20 passes thrown to him.

I agree.
That is why the thread is titled "use TO to his strength's" = win=win for all.

I believe this.

There is one problem though.
You have to compliment TO and even McNabb for having some success against the Pats. McNabb completed 9 passes to TO for 122 yards? against a team that seemed to know the plays before they happened.
