I am fine with keeping Vaughn. He looks the part and seems to be real cool ala Joe Flacco. I would rather finally develop one rather then overpay for expensive back ups. It's not like we will be sitting around here saying if we would have just kept that 12th DT instead of Vaughn we would be better off.

I watched that game specifically to see him.

This is the first season in a long time that I intend to watch the top QB prospects intently since I think we will be looking for one in the draft.

Virginia is not known as a defensive powerhouse. I fully expected better.

He was not awful, but he was not special either.

I think we panicked for no reason. Better more experienced QBs were cut.

He might be worth developing but not quite roster spot worthy based on the fact he did not exactly rise to the occasion in the final preseason game.

I didn't expect him to scramble around. I just did not think he threw the ball all that well.

Nothing is guaranteed, yes but your odds improve immensely. I could be wrong and Vaughan becomes an excellent starter. That said I like quite a few college QBs that are coming out in the next draft or two.

I took it to mean that talent of a 1st rnd pick isn't guaranteed which is true but I was referencing this quote about whether they will be available or not.
