Going into the season, we're the third best team in the division, those seem like fair odds.
It's wide open.
Dallas should win the division if Romo is healthy but the Giants will probably be a handful.
I'm not worried about the Skins or Eagles.

Who is better? Vegas has the SB odds at:
Cowboys - 22 to 1
Giants - 25 to 1
Commanders - 40 to 1
Eagles - 50 to 1
Sleeping on the Skins would be foolish. If Cousins proves last year wasn't a fluke, the Skins are going to be a pain in the ***.
I still think as long as Romo is healthy, the Cowboys should be the favorite but the Skins are legit IMO.
The suspensions do hurt but our first 4 games are...
Giants
Commanders
Bears
9ers
I feel like we should come out of that 3-1.
so. Subtracting Hardy and mincey and adding zeke and a dozen other players... Makes us.. Worse.
In this same time last year, Vegas had the Colts primed with the best odds to win the Super Bowl... Something about being so impressed with their FA signings including Frank Gore. We all know how that turned out... Sooooo.. Yeah.

There was not a defensive player available with the 4th pick that would have had any impact this year. Defensive rookies takes a year or two to start making contributions. Usually the first year, they have limited playing time.
Will turn out to be one of the greatest drafts in history if Elliott pans out.

Well, just know that we arent going to be able to stop anyone. 2-2 is the more likely outcome.

Giants, the have ELF...Eli Luck Factor....but we handled him before with a less defense. Remove Beckham from the equation, get some pressure on him, we should be good. Every year they try to improve their defense and every year seems they fail, more than Dallas.
Commanders, I am a bit concerned here unless Cousins has a bit of a "you like that" slump...it will be what team does better...our offense against their defense or their offense against our defense. I am homering and say our D is more improved than many naysayers think. But won't call this a win, nor a loss.
Bears, does our D really fear Cutler...remove Alshon and stop Lang on most downs. And does anyone fear their D anymore.
SF, hey, it's Chip, we have him handled and with a team he basically needs to rebuild, or seems like it.
So I will go with 3-1 also, the Commanders game being the toughest, as of now. Giants next toughest.
The DL is the key to the whole defense. They can draft all the DBs in the world snd it won't help until the DL gets an infusion of talent.
Saints and Colts. Here's hoping Romo and Dez stay healthy, Zeke runs wild, and the defense improves to at least average or better.
- The suspensions hurt. In fact, if Dallas makes the playoffs, an extra loss or two early may have cost them a 1st round bye or at least home field in Rd1.
- Dallas' 2nd pick, which was essentially a 1st rounder at 34, gives them exactly zero in year 1...or at least that is the assumption. It's as if for one year they had no pick.
- Also, I can recall a few teams with completely dominant defenses (but crappy offenses) winning a Super Bowl...but never the other way around.
- Of all the areas that needed upgrading in Dallas, the RB was deemed one of the least by many outsiders. An ultra-premium pick , 4th overall (worth 2 mid 1st rounders) was used to do just that.
2-2 would actually be a great start, that's a tough way to open the season.
I'm sleepin on that team.
They won the division by default.
Heck, our 1 game we won with our awful backup Quarterbacks was against those clowns.
I do like their RB and what they did in the draft but if Romo is healthy i'm not worried about that team.
