Why would you say no one care when people die? I think the vast majority of people want to see those who kill people brought to justice and we sure as hell would expect more than 23 months for a person who commits murder. Vick did wrong and he is going to be punished for it and it is just but no one is confusing murder with the killing of a dog.

no doubt we have a flawed legal system when it comes to alot of things...but Vick is getting what he deserved...he's a sick piece of garbage

last I heard yes, they were

and after originally believing they (the defense) would get it dismissed on grounds of being the same charges, they are now rumored to also be looking at a pleas deal for that as well..the state really let Vick off the hook though, they could have easily rang him up for most of his life if they had charged him with animal cruelty deaths for those dogs (I think they agreed he was involved with the deaths of 8, and I believe they said it was 5yrs for each count)

I'm sure we'll hear more on it in the coming days

Yes, Vick is getting what he deserves but I won't dog pile on the guy.

His career is finished and he may even be finished financially as well.

If he is truly contrite, I wouldn't mind seeing him get a second chance, even though that is very slim.

They prolly won't cut him until they can get some of their signing bonus back.

3 seasons and he'll be around 30-31. I don't know that his football skills will be so eroded that some team won't take a flyer on him.

I think that's somewhat exaggerated; there have been plenty of murder cases people have cared about. There also a lot of animal abuse that people don't care about. I think what got Vick into trouble was that this was organized crime -- very premeditated.

We just don't know right now. He has the state thing hanging over his head AND he did fail a drug test not long ago. A lot of things have to play out and if i know this commish, he will be tight lipped on Vick until he's out of jail, so until then we can all speculate, but that's all it is IMO

I know you asked BDC, but I'm sure he was including this season.

Also, Vick has been in jail 3 weeks already. He turned himself in early. 85% isn't two full calendar years, bu it's still two more football seasons. 2010, I'd say.

That's the way I feel. I don't think he deserved that much time. I think he should've received 12 - 18 months max
