So hiring Shanahan was enough to bring the loser Skins fans out of the woodwork?

DRIVE TOTALS: PHI 0, DAL 24, 9 plays, 41 yards, 6:27 elapsed

Looks to me like Dallas going for a pass on 4th down with about 2 mins left in the game up 24. Did the eagles bend over, take it up the ***, and then cry about it afterwards? no they did something about it and sacked Romo.

Yes, and we called a simple bootleg route and told Romo to eat the sack if there was nothing there and not try to force it. Romo wasn't throwing towards the end zone.

The point of the play was to get the first down and run the clock out, rather than putting your defense back on the field. We weren't trying to show up our opponent by making it 31-0.

Here's the thing, if Minny had run the ball and scored, I would have no problem with it. If they had thrown the ball to get the first down and we missed tackles and they scored, I would have no problem with it.

They threw it in the endzone, with under 2 minutes left, up by 24 points, and on 4th and 3. That, is what irks me. It isn't that they scored, it's that they intended to rub noses in it.

I will never respect that from any team.

I agree!!!

There will be payback.

That was bad sportsmanship.

The Cowboys are a proud team.

Something tells me that Childress was getting some shots in for his good buddy Andy Reid. He's the guy the Cowboys beat not one, not two, but three times this year. Plus, two of those were beat downs.

Wasn't there a play fake on that pass. That is kicking people when they are down.

I want my teams to play with class and respect the game and the other team.

If we are up 24-0 on the Eagles and the time is about up and the team is in scoring positon. Run the ball or take a knee. It's old school.

Childress and Favre will get there beat down this week.

Plus, the Cowboys will beat them next year and cash a cheap one in.

I would retaliate. Let's see how they like it.

LOL, Troy is the best analyst in the business and he has a valid point.

Listen to his weekly Monday morning callins on The Score 670 in Chicago, he knows his stuff.

It's simple. Don't be in that predicament. Especially in your franchises biggest game in years and years.
I don't believe this is still even being discussed.

Yeah but people like Hostile will not recognize the truth. I mean at least have some intellectual honesty.

I don't think there is any discussion about how bad of a predicament that was to be in. Nobody is saying that we should have been in that predicament.

What people are discussing is the classless decision to throw for a touchdown. It comes down to sportsmanship. You're right, it really is simple...but we've already been down this road.

Someone posted something similar to this before, but that was the first time in the history of the NFL that a team threw a TD pass leading by 24 points with less than 2 minutes to go in a playoff game.

Clearly, most coaches and players know what is professional and what is lame.

By the looks on MOST players faces at the end of the game. They didn't look to bothered. I saw players laughing and smiling as they shook the Vikings hands. Brooking knows his window is closing. This could be one of his very last chances at winning a SB. That said he is also one of the more competitive players I have seen in a long time. So I'm thinking he over reacted and probably figured it out a few days later. So I would say the the part I put in bold, and the way 99.9% of the Cowboy players acted during the hand shakes after the game proves you are wrong. Clearly most players take their butt whoppings like men, and don't blame the opposing team for their own failures.

Is that 4th and 20 Oil Check? Was it throwing the ball in the endzone?

I believe if you want to spout about intellectual honesty you should at least learn to read first Oil Check. Here's the link to what I said about the Vikings.

In case you don't know how to click the link, here's the exact wording. With bold to help you.

In other words Oil Check, the situations are not at all the same. Here, let me prove it to you. When Dallas went for it on 4th and 2 (not 4th and 20 as you blathered.) was after a 9 play 6:27 minute drive that was killing the clock. Going for the 1st down, not the same as going for the endzone Oil Check.

Dallas got the ball back up the exact same 24 points as Minnesota was. Here is what they did.

Dallas Cowboys at 1:37

1st and 10 at DAL 44...T.Romo kneels to DAL 43 for -1 yards.
2nd and 11 at DAL 43...T.Romo kneels to DAL 42 for -1 yards.
3rd and 12 at DAL 42...T.Romo kneels to DAL 41 for -1 yards.
End of Game

Did you learn anything? No charge for the education Oil Check.
