It's simple. Don't be in that predicament. Especially in your franchises biggest game in years and years.
I don't believe this is still even being discussed.
Go cry somewhere else. You bore the piss out of me.

These are paid athletes , there is no running it up. Dallas was still calling timeouts so they were still trying to score.

Love Brooking, but he looked bad there - he looked like a crybaby , Troy is 100% spot on.

Perhaps Brooking should aim his anger at his OL for not showing up and at his two head coaches for not changing up at halftime.

You want to stick with that nonsense?

Dallas 3rd and final timeout happened at 6:12 left in the game.

Look it up.

Yes, and we called a simple bootleg route and told Romo to eat the sack if there was nothing there and not try to force it. Romo wasn't throwing towards the end zone.

The point of the play was to get the first down and run the clock out, rather than putting your defense back on the field. We weren't trying to show up our opponent by making it 31-0.

You don't know what they told Romo to do.

By the looks on MOST players faces at the end of the game. They didn't look to bothered. I saw players laughing and smiling as they shook the Vikings hands. Brooking knows his window is closing. This could be one of his very last chances at winning a SB. That said he is also one of the more competitive players I have seen in a long time. So I'm thinking he over reacted and probably figured it out a few days later. So I would say the the part I put in bold, and the way 99.9% of the Cowboy players acted during the hand shakes after the game proves you are wrong. Clearly most players take their butt whoppings like men, and don't blame the opposing team for their own failures.
Maybe that's why they lost the game, take a jailhouse beatdown and be laughing and smiling! I'll take Brookings reaction anyday over that, actually it would have been nice to have see a few more players a bit pissed too!

in theory should they have stuck it in on us? nah not really , but this is PRO football - there are subplots at play that we fans will never see. If this is Oakmount High v.s. Jefferson well yes that's a classless run-up on kids. However a millionaire pro will find away to get over the the over the top TD and had we really, truly cared; our team would have shown up.

Just because it's fun let's all take a look at this play.

This is the play right before the TD (and I left the volume on the slo-mo replay because we want to have fun here and Joe Buck sounds drunk on it).

What is your take on this play...

I see a frustrated Keith Brooking helping out Newman on the tackle.

Then I see a frustrated Keith Brooking with his elbow in the neck of a Vikes WR and him getting up from this WWE move so slowly that the ref comes jogging over and helps him off the Vikes WR.

What do you see?

(remember, we are all Cowboys fans and we all love each other)

The term is 'sportsmanship'.

And the players and coaches on the sideline got rid of Brooking?

Think before you speak.

And I don't think either of the two situations was a big deal.

The coaches had no problem with it.

So talk about thinking before you speak.

You can be such a child on this board at times.

That's a bunch of nonsense. In any level of sports if a team runs it up, it is considered poor sportsmanship.

Good catch. Maybe the Vikes' final TD was payback for that bit of extracurricular action. Did they run it up? Yes. Was it a lowbrow thing to do? Yes (see: 2007 Pats). Was Brooking the last person on the team who should have called them out? Yes.

it looks to me like Brooking is looking to see where Newman is so he doesn't step on him when he stood up. his foot looks to be on Newmans wrist in that photo.

Guys stand up by pushing off of someone on the ground all the time. By the end of a game you are freaking in pain. You'll take advantage of any boost up. There is nothing out of the ordinary about that play that would cause Minny to decide to run it up.

Troy is an "analyst" in the same way gunslingers in the old West were shootists.

My point wasn't about them running it up based on that play.

I was pointing out that Brooking was frustrated.

And pissed. And annoyed. And mad.

So I get it. He was emotional.

But what comes around goes around.

Take the beating and go get them next time.

His barking on the field wasn't even a big deal.

But then going into the locker room and talking about it again. Ahhh, he could have done without that.

And it was a no brainer that you weren't going to agree that Brooking is 'giving him the business' in the video.
