Video: TO telling teammate play was to Fasano

so easy to judge the play when you can view the photo for a few seconds.

let me ask this. You are a QB -- who are you going to in the clutch? Glenn or Fasano?

The open guy.

You're right....

Barber has a ton of room to run.

Fasano appears to be wide open.

How did we not score there?

we had bledsoe as a qb.

Gee..I dunno, maybe the guy who the play was designed for?

The clutch?

It was second down.

In the first half.

But you're right....I would've fell on the ground in the fetal position and cried like a girl in this situation.

But then again....I'm not an NFL QB that's played for 13 seasons.....that's had the playbook for months.

There were other options on the play for Bledsoe. All better than Glenn.

1. Witten is covered, but if Drew throws the ball to Witten's left, it's a TD.

2. Barber is wide open in the flat. Sure, he has a ways to run, but all Witten, and Fasano have to do is seal their men....TD

3. Fasano....yes, he's not as open as I originally thought....but he's still OPEN. TD....

4. TO is covered....But I still like his chances with the fade....

Forget it. He can't help embarrassing himself. He's hitched his wagon to Bled's star.

None of you know who the play was designed for - you read it in Vela's blog and you think you read TO's lips. Don't come here and pretend like you are football experts because you read someone's interpretation of the play.

Every QB in this league has a favorite receiver he tends to look to first. Glenn scored a bunch of TDs with Drew -- many i'm sure on plays not desiged to go to him initially.

That was a crap play and Drew's play has been crap this year. I've got no problem with the switch.

What I do have an issue with is know it alls who don't recognize that maybe if your QB is getting guys come clean to smack him 8-10 times a half that his decision making isn't going to get muddled. Drew doesn't stink as a QB -- he just is a horrible fit for a team with a poor OL.

That's crap and you know it. Of course, you didn't read my previous posts because the internet connection under the bridge is so bad. So that's excusable

Did you notice that I added "from what we can tell?" I really don't see how you're even attempting to excuse this play.

Given Bledsoe's recent history of altering the play calling and improvises the way plays are ran I'm really surprised BP didn't yank him a couple of games ago. No wonder we lead the league in picks.

Well, didn't Parcells say Bledsoe improvised on that play?

Parcells also mentioned it!

Look, all the evidence points in one direction, but the fact that we're fans on an internet message board means we can't possibly be right.

You got a playbook? No, you don't.

Ever heard of going through your reads? If Glenn's not open (and he wasn't) you go to option 2 or 3. Duh.

Good points.

But it isn't just Vela that's pointed Drew's poor decision out.

Aikman himself said that the route Glenn ran was more of a decoy route. He said that wasn't a good route to run down there.

And I don't think Bledsoe stinks.

I agree with your assessment about him being a poor fit.

Didn't Parcells say in the post-game PC that the play was designed to go to the other side (not Terry)?

How much more do you need?

#1 - Vela isn't pretending to be a football expert...why isn't his interpretation taken seriously?

#2 - It sure looks like that is indeed what TO was saying on the sideline.

#3 - Parcell's himself said the play was designed for the right side.

He should have gone to Fasano...end of story.

Mentioned improvising -- not where the play was supposed to go -more specifically, not who it was supposed to go to. Like i've said over and over -- Drew sucked -- I have no problem with the benching -- but it wasn't about this play. It was about Drew not fitting on a team with a crap line.
