ESPN reports the Vikings owe 12.75 million to Adrian next season. To a 30 year old running back at that.

Could you imagine Peterson and Murray keeping each other fresh for a whole season??

If we could afford him, and he came at the right price, maybe.

It depends on what kind of contract he wants. We're probably gonna have to pay Murray handsomely, and you don't want to be paying 2 rb a big contract, cuz that's stupid

That's going to be a lot of cap money tied up in two RBs. Overkill IMO.

The money is better spent elsewhere.

AD is old but he has a few years left in him and he is better than murray in every way,i would keep my option open if Murray is let go.

You can't justify getting rid of the leading rusher in the NFL who's 3 or 4 years younger. That would be foolish. Now if they want to consider a running back tandem of Peterson and Murray? I'd be more intrigued about but that would of course come with Peterson taking a major pay cut he shouldn't be willing to do.

We have to sign Murray, so I don't think there is any way Jerry takes a serious look at Peterson. You can bet he would love to run with our OL and a QB like Tony, though.

what if peterson were cheaper? let's say he comes in on a major discount and saves us 20 mill compared to murray.

Tag Murray at 9 mil and make him earn a contract............................again.

Nope.

I would rather have Murray, Dunbar and Randle.

Especially if Dunbar starts to become better at picking up blitzes. He's another guy that is a tough mismatch for opposing defenses when it comes to catching passes out of the backfield.

Peterson looked like he lost a step in that first game and being away from football for a year won't help that. Unless the price was right I'd say no. MJD is the same age and been terrible so far. 30 is rough for RBs

This is the kind of move jerry has been killed for in the past
