I'm on board with this. At least spend the money on defense if not Suh specifically.

Murray, Suh, Dez, Harris and possible Melton in one offseason will be expensive. Heck, just Murray, Suh, and Dez is expensive.

My first reaction was HAIL YEAH! But the realization of a salary cap and Romo' huge payday quickly turned the tide.
I say, in Murray We Trust and furthermore, the O line is showing signs of gelling with megellin. so let's be thankful we half Murray and not look to upsetting the cart here next year or any season after that.

Is he even playing this year? I'm interested to see how Norv is gonna use him.

Peterson's value is certainly going to take a hit with his pending legal matters, so he'll likely be available at a fraction of what he'd normally cost. He could be the guy to target if we decided to let Murray walk, but franchising Murray seems like the likely scenario if a long-term deal isn't reached.

Can't imagine a scenario where Peterson and Murray are in the same backfield.

Emmitt Smith missed 14 games over his career. He played in 226 out of a possible 240 regular season games. Peterson has now missed 12 games in his career. He has played in 104 out of a possible 116 regular season games. How many more games will Adrian miss this year?

No thanks. Unless he is willing to come here for peanuts, and I mean real cheap. I'd rather have Murray anyway. We don't need to be chasing after the Suhs and Petersons.

Maybe an orange peanut

ESPN reports the Vikings owe 12.75 million to Adrian next season. To a 30 year old running back at that.

Could you imagine Peterson and Murray keeping each other fresh for a whole season??

I doubt we can resign Murray and sign Peterson. Plus both are past the age of signing RBs. You can find a RB in the 2nd-4th rounds. Murray was a 3rd rounder. No reason to put big money at RB when we need to build this defense.

What's the average contract for a backup RB? Offer him that and nothing more.

I am thinking Peterson & Randle is more likely. It really comes down to what Murray & Peterson are asking. Dallas won't break the bank at RB because they know they have dominant OL and can basically plug and play RB into their system.

I would have no problem with him on the super cheap. But hell be 30 and may not have played in a year. Not interested in the risk, no matter who it is.

I would lose all respect for this franchise if they sign him.

You dont believe in redemption or 2nd chances? What if he learns something from this and uses his experience to do some good? What if Witten accepted him into the fold and mentored him?

Seems rather short sighted to just write it off.

Don't want him. Without getting into the PR point of view, the money he will command will ensure that either Dez or Murrary will probably not be on this team. I would rather keep Murray, draft a back in the 3rd (DL 1st, QB 2nd) and if it comes to it, let Dez go and use that money to build a more complete team.
