All of that would be fine if it were true.
Landry was a quiet coach who did rule over guys to some extent but he also allowed guys like Hollywood Henderson to get away with extremes. Landry was hardly Bear Bryant.
Talking about practice is silly because the NFLPA has rules in place around practice times and dates. Do you really want to discuss Victory Monday now after seeing Dallas go on that roll?
This isn't 1960 but wins and losses are ALWAYS wins and losses. .
So, lets get this straight, your saying then that if wade coached the cowboys in 1960 with no draft choices in that year, poor talent,, with the 3 players that each team had to let the cowboys have, no pro bowl players on the team but one after the year 1960. So, your saying that wade could have done a better job, with no QB, no Defense, no leaders? If you think wade could have done a better job, your dreaming. Let me remind you of something right now that will bust your bubble very quickly.
Your so called super coach wade was the defensive coordinator of the New Orleans Saints in 81-85. Tom Landry and the Cowboys beat the Saints in 82 by the score of 21-7, in 83 by 21-20, and 84 by score of 30-27. So, what happened to your super great coach, that got beat by little old tom landry in his declining years as the super head coach of the Dallas Cowboys?

Landry was a heck of a coach but he coached the Cowboys for 29 years and won 2 Super Bowls in a league with fewer teams. His guiding Dallas to 20 straight winning seasons and all those playoff games are his trademarks not Super Bowl wins. He didn't EVER sale out to win one Super Bowl but built winning teams who approached every game the same.
Funny how much more winning in January seems to matter now.
BTW, Wade has 3 seasons of 500 or better ball guaranteed already and we haven't even played a December game yet. Somewhere Tom would be proud of that.
Wrong! Landry's trademarks is his 20 straight winning season and his taking a team to 5 superbowls, while winning 2 of them. Best i remember till that time after 1978, when Landry coached the Cowboys to a 5th superbowl appearance was a record at that time, while winning 2 of them. Landry and the Cowboys are also known for the Hail Mary Pass by Roger the Dodger, Landry as the thinking man in in the hat, Landry was the man that developed the flex defense, multiple formations with movement, resurrection of the Shotgun formation, among some other things.
Now, what has good ole wade done? Any playoff wins? Any new schemes to a defense, besides what buddy ryan started? Have you ever seen a player let Wade introduce him into the Hall of Fame? Has wade resurrected any offense like the shotgun formation?
Quit griping like wade does about no one gives him respect, earn that respect with playoff wins. Another thing you might not be aware of, do you realize what great QB's wade had under him when he was head coach? He can complain all he wants about a lack of respect and compare his regular-season record to Bill Belichick's, but that's only part of what defines a head coach's success.
You have to win in the playoffs. Not only was Wade the head coach when the Cowboys suffered their most one-sided loss in of the Jerry era last year in Philly, but his 13-3 team became the first top-seeded NFC team to be eliminated in the first round. Overall, Wade is 0-4 as a head coach in the playoffs even though his quarterbacks were John Elway, Doug Flutie and Romo.
Lets see now, Landry had the great Roger Staubach as a QB, how many super bowls did Staubach help the Cowboys get to superbowls? 4. Staubach appeared in 5 superbowls, but he was the starting QB for 4. And yet, good ole super coach wade by your definition had John Elway, did he win any playoff games with him? How about Flutie or Romo?
You need to know your facts before you start trying to think. I know my Dallas Cowboys history, and how we won and lost, I think you need to go back to kindergarten school and relearn bud.
