To paraphrase a line from Forty Year Old Virgin...

Love it.

I understand... except the only reason soccer fans in here are trying to defend a sport they like is because others in here are claiming it has no legitimacy.

I don't care that someone doesn't like soccer... why should it be a problem if I do?

There's no need for that kind of talk, just shut the **** up about it (not you, superpunk)
The soccer fans are just as welcome to do that. If you post your love of the game, I am going to post my hatred of the game. Get used to it or cry somewhere else.

how can sumone prefer baseball over soccer?
:lmao2:
I don't know how sumone does, but there has never been a baseball game that I wouldn't prefer over the "greatest soccer game in History" and there never will be.

so you'd prefer to watch a 10 yr old girls baseball game over a World Cup final?

I'm sorry but that's pretty sad

At least you go one thing correct in your post and it was this part:

baseball>soccer

Soccer is barely one notch above the Boston Marathon on the excitement meter. That, my friend, is why is sucksand always will!!!!!!!

Whats really sad is 98% of everybody in America would probably prefer not to watch either equally. Another indication of how bad soccer sucks!

but 98% of the rest of the world would probably be tuned in to the World Cup... but since most of us Americans wouldn't, that means it sucks?

come on.

Would you like a free reading lesson? I am just the man to give you one.

Here is my post where I said the word "dolt." Notice it is not edited.

Here is what I said in using that word.

If the place is not jam packed it just proves my point that soccer fans are dolts.

Notice I did not respond to you and say "you're a dolt." Notice I did not respond to anyone at all. Notice I was also clearly joking by saying "I am in complete denial." Like I can actually deny that crap is being played there. Now let's move on to the real proof that you need reading help.

Question...was the place jam packed? According to the whining drone in this thread it was with 82,000 fans of the crap. Therefore I didn't call anyone a dolt. They would be dolts if it was not.

Do you get it yet? Do I need to explain it better? If so, that is really sad.

Also note that I did not call you a dolt, and so you calling me a name by getting butt sore and responding directly to me is nowhere near the same thing. So are you free to call me what you want as well? No, you aren't. Just like I didn't call you a dolt.

Don't like it? I don't care.

Moving on.

I love stupid questions. They are my absolute favorites. I could ask you, "do you prefer to watch 10 year old girl's soccer over the World Series?" You might think it is as stupid as I did yours. You would be WRONG.

Did you know 10 year old girls don't play baseball? But they do play soccer. So I would actually be asking you a real question instead of a fake, stupid one.

Hyperbole is such a useful tool for nonsense.

Now, let me answer the question. If given a choice between free tickets to the Wold Cup Finals and paying to see a 10 year old girl that I know personally play softball (not baseball), I would fork over some money to go root for her.

I often take my daughters to see the University of Arizona Wildcats softball team, one of the best in the nation. I have met Jennie Finch and several other Wildcat stars. I had classes with Allison McCutcheon who was (might still be) the all time leader in hits and stolen bases in NCAA softball History. Nancy Evans is a friend of mine too.

So despite your lack of knowledge about the sport you actually asked me something that I will proudly answer yes to.

I hate soccer and I don't care how much you love it, how much it disgusts you to have me say, or how sad you think it is. Do the bucket of water test again. It still applies.

I apologize about my misunderstanding the "dolt' thing

Regarding the softball thing, I was joking

Baseball fans ripping soccer... it doesn't get any funnier.

I found a dirty needle on the ground the other day and got excited... which MLB star was in town!?!? Could've been any of them! Or ALL of them!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euMu1SKi-ak

I already posted this clip, but it's worth another look. The breathtaking talent and athletic ability this man possesses... smacks the entire sport of baseball clear out of the water.

No matter what you think of the sport... if you can't respect the athleticism and talent it takes to be able to do what this man is doing to a ball with his feet, you need your "Sports Fan" card revoked.

I'm not even a big soccer fan. I'll watch the World Cup and that's pretty much it. But as a huge NFL and NBA fan, I'll always be appreciative of an athlete with jaw-dropping talent like Cristiano Ronaldo.

We're debating which sport is more entertaining, not "who has more integrity." In baseball, the potential for scoring occurs with every swing of the bat.

No matter what you think of the sport... if you can't respect the athleticism and talent it takes to be able to do what this man is doing to a ball with his feet, you need your "Sports Fan" card revoked.

I take it you watch a lot of tap dancing, then.

I take it you watch a lot of tap dancing, then.
Soccer, like football, is the epitome of a team sport.

Tap dancing is an individual activity, not a team sport.
Baseball is a 1-on-1 game (pitcher vs. batter), not a team sport.

Get 30 steroid-abusing pansies to stand around chewing tobacco while someone tap-dances, and voila: baseball.
We're debating which sport is more entertaining, not "who has more integrity."
Soccer is more entertaining and has more integrity. And its players are infinitely more athletic and talented. And the sport takes a much greater toll physically.

Baseball's advantage? The fat and lazy can play it.

Of course little boys and girls play soccer. We want our kids to exercise and be healthy. If I wanted my kid to sit on his butt chewing sunflower seeds, I'd tell him to stay in his room and play video games.

I know it doesnt get any funnier, baseball fans talking about ''boredom''. :lmao2:
but anywho...i guess theres a possibility of a scoring chance in every swing. how often do they swing? (they swing, chew sum tobacco, look around like an idiot...3 mins later...SWINNGGGG! oh yeah AND A MISS....)

Just Great.
:lmao2:

You guys just need to agree to disagree.

4 months ago I would be just like these guys who absolutely hate soccer.

If you don't know whats going on as far as tactics and rules than it is a hard sport to like.

You gotta have a reason to watch it.

My reason was I was so impressed by Ronaldhino.

Soccers legit and if people wanna miss out on it than thats on them.

The great one...
