Trust me. Im not the only one that thinks he is PS bound. Im just the most vocal about it.
Ive just taken it as a personal challenge to keep the hype train in check.

It does seem to have done that, and I'm not sure why. I didn't think anyone could be upset that Deuce played well and needs more snaps. Guess I underestimated.

Had a couple nice plays and a few not so good. Against scrubs.
Im all for him getting significant looks this weekend. Heck, play him exclusively the entire game. Lets see what he can do against guys who will actually be playing in three weeks.
To say he is anywhere near RB2 is just pure hope. Until he starts playing with the threes and twos, its still just hype.

Don't have a problem with that, but I don't really see a reason to argue over it. We don't know if he's a No. 2 or even a No. 1 or a washout, so one opinion is just as valid as another at this point IMO. I just want to see what he can do because we're unsettled at that backup spot and we've got a starting back who is really in his first year of being the full-time No. 1 guy.

I prefer discussion over back-and-forth bickering. But I guess that's not the message. As I said, one opinion is just as valid as another at this point. Some are going to be that he's a future No. 1 and some are going to be that he has no chance to make the team. Others are going to be more like where I stand: I don't know, but I liked what I saw Saturday and want to see more.

I mean, ultimately how you use the message board is up to you (within the rules or not), I'm just offering my view of it for what it is worth.

After PS1 do you honestly think he had the worst game of the 3 RB's? thats probably why your getting pushback. Its one thing to say "Hey let me see him actually play in an NFL game" then when he does and looks pretty good you pretty much ignore it and keep trucking on the same road.

From what I can tell, there's only a couple of you arguing, one strongly hyping Deuce, one strongly anti-hyping him. May be a couple of others involved. As Asthma Field said (to which I responded), this disagreement deteriorated. That doesn't mean only you were arguing. I don't see the need for it for either position. Differences can be discussed and when they reach the point that the discussion is going nowhere, it's a difference of opinion, no need to resort to calling someone ignorant or a cult leader. Again, that's just my opinion ... and I've ventured far outside the purpose of this thread, so I'll stop.

In the Stop whining thread, I told the OP that there's no reason to tell fans not to fan how they want to fan, and I'll take my own advice.

He played against mostly guys who wont be in the NFL in two weeks.
Davis and Dowdle ran against their 1st team defense. While running behind our 2nd team OL.
You do see the difference there, right?
I hope he starts this weekend, plays a full half or more. Just him. Then see what he does.
If he looks good, then we can talk.

He escaped the grasp and hand tackles. He didn't power through anything. I didn't see the ability to put his head down and bull a defender for positive yardage. Doesn't mean he can't do it, but I don't think he showed it.

He didnt have to because he juked them out if their shoes. Thats what deuce does.
