Ware Release: has the Organization Changed? ***Ware Mega Merge-place all Ware threads here please***

If the Bronco's do not win the SB this season, this is all for naught.

Personally I think they end up worse than last season.

I agree. It's a gamble but, given their success with Manning as well as the team structure overall, it's worth it. I also agree that they will not be as successful as last year.

Someone remind me how much Denver was asking Dumerville to take a pay cut to?

Team needs to push for Melton...what other DL are available (young and talented) Joseph signed with the Vikings. Even T.Jackson (my 1 tech) signed with ATL; 5/25 too much for a 1 tech in this scheme. Maybe it is just the scrubs we are picking up and looking to the draft for any "real" talent.

Yes.

Seymour was on the last year of contract when the Patriots traded him to the Raiders.

Ware had four more years left on his contract.

.

Oh.

bang

Not sure what direction you are shooting that thing.

So, one team via multiple restructurings to pay for previous restructurings and bad contracts of other players, creates such an inflated long-term back loaded contract that they are unable to retain or trade a player who is still valuable.... And in the process, that team creates an $8 million deficit in their current year cap.

While the other team, signs a franchise player to a reasonable contract and decides to trade said player with one year remaining on his contract for and incredibly valuable top 5 first round pick rather than renegotiate or get into a bidding war for that player when his contract expires.

Not sure how that first team's FO comes out ahead on this.

Larry Lacewell is still a drinking buddy of the "GM", that explains all you really need to know.

They are getting an Eagles "dream team" kind of vibe about them. They kind of need to take a break.

Their OL sucked before he got there.

Maybe he makes an OL better.

I didn't see pressure in his face on 3 step drops (that alone is enough for him to manage) They were talented enough; sure D's played much more conservative with Manning @ QB as well.

No one doing handstands over the contract the Cowboys signed with Ware back whenever, but they certainly were not going to be able to trade him for any picks.

The smart move was cutting him loose.

The dumb one would have been to keep him under his current contract.

What does that have to do with your compare and contrast of the Seymour trade?

So he goes from my team to my family's team. Guess I'll still be seeing a lot of him.

3 years/$30 million, $20 million guaranteed from Denver.

Denver knows the window is closing with Manning where they're team will need a complete re-structure.
So they signed Ware and two others for their defense.
Defense was exposed in Superbowl. They have to fix it quick.

Well, it certainly looks like Ware made a good choice. Now, we will find out if Jerry Jones or John Elway made the better choice.

This is what makes football so interesting. Can Ware stay healthy? Can Ware help them get over the hump? And the equation isn't just about Ware. If Peyton Manning gets hurt, the Broncos will suck no matter whether Ware has a monster year or not.

And they don't have a starting LT, LG, C, or RG.

Denver is going to implode, I believe.

Did the Broncos cut Ryan Clady? They just signed him to a new contract last season. Unfortunately he got injured last season, but if he returns healthy he will be an upgrade to who they had in the Superbowl.

No, he will be returning. Chris Clark did an okay job filling in.

Didn't Dware go on a skiing vacation right after the season?

Now he can make that a full time hobby. Just make sure you get out of his way. I would not want to see that big boy barreling down the slopes on my tail.
