Dak's Prescotts first 6 games 2021 - 1,813 yards, 16 TDs, 4 INTS, 70 rushing yards, 0 TDS

key words being couple. Josh looked like trash against the Steelers in the opener while Dak played arguably his best game. Following week Bills defense was dominant and won 35-0 with Allen having like 160 yards or something like that. And then he caught complete fire. I try lol. Used to get a bit riled up at these extremist threads but talking to people in real life I see that it’s just a fringe segment of fans who think Dak is bad or he’s elite.

Most of us are reasonable enough to understand that evaluations are not that polar. He’s solid/good, not elite not below average.

There actually are people on this site that have credibility. Like yourself. It’s OK to critique. That’s where the middle is. Prescott is not garbage. But he’s not the best quarterback in the league either. And that’s OK.

Zeke was good but McFadden was the 4th leading rusher in the league the year before starting only 10 games.

Zeke, in his absolute best....only broke 19 tackles that year. There are RBs who have almost that many already this year.

Dak is between 13 and 7 as far as QB's go, still a good QB.

There are only 4 elite QB's in the league in my opinion and Dak is below them.

Dak is in the same bracket as the guy who just won the last Superbowl.

Exactly! After the top 3-4 guys everyone is around the same place and is a product of the team and coaching around them. Put Dak in San Fran with that support and you’ll likely see a deep playoff run. Put him in Arizona with subpar coaching and bad line play and you’ll see a 8 win guy.

After that top 3-4, it’s all about your surroundings. Play for the right FO and coaching staff and your perception is greatly changed. Play for the wrong one and you stink lol.

Dak was at his best when he wasn't the focus of the offense.... his rookie season with a All Pro OL and rookie Zeke. Not exactly elite but a pretty good bus driver. He was Cooper before Cooper. But then injuries, age and defenses have caught up with him and Jerry wants him to lead the offense. Seen the best of him already.

As I’ve said before, there is always a constant re-writing of the narrative regarding Dak. After his putrid last half of the season last year, his biggest fans started flipping the script that they never declared him elite on this board. Without getting in particular posters on this site, among them folks who claimed he was better than Mahomes or Allen, the following article clearly establishes that people were actually challenging the general claim that Dak proved himself elite, meaning this was a common perception that needed to be addressed.

The numbers aren’t changing since this article has been written. Even without taking into consideration the win-loss record, Dak is horrible when it comes to TD/INT numbers against quality competition and the stakes are high. 2021 was actually a greater demonstration of this very fact that Dak is a garbage-time QB that is basically in the category of a Goff, though we haven’t seen Dak on a team anywhere near as bad as Detroit. Both of them were horrible on their later progressions and both of them were on good teams, beating up bad opponents.

You can’t claim it’s because of the ‘defense’ he loses.

Again, QB's dont win or lose games, teams do. Until you figure that out and understand how that works you will never be able to stand up in a meaningful football discussion.

As far as Dak every being elite, he has NEVER been in the top 5 of the elite. He has certainly had stretches in his career where he was playing elite. It typically coincides with the state of the Oline. When dak isnt running for his life and he has a semblance of time to throw, he largely picks apart the defense.
